my partner and I have been for 5 nights and positively highlight the treatment of owners, very friendly and willing to resolve all our doubts. The room is old and small, but clean enough and it has TV, hairdryer, towels, and shampoo... and the most important, it has a private bathroom. Yoy can rest very well, no noises are heard...

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of the Fringe Festival. Guesthouse was clean, tidy but quite small. Bed was not a full size double bed which was a little ddisappointing. Owner was friendly enough and explained this room was advertised as being small, something I failed to see anywhere on the site we used.

My family and I stayed here for several days in early August 2016 during The Edinburgh Festival. First, I'd like to speak to some of the criticisms I've seen here about this place. Continental Breakfast. Anyone who checks into ANY of these type of guest houses and expects a four course breakfast meal is not a very seasoned traveler and...

Nice guest house. breakie was continental and just perfect for setting the day off. As the place was empty for the night I had the family room in the front, very nice with a good shower. The landlord, Ali, was very helpful. Walking distance from the train station, takes about 25 minutes, 20 minutes going back to the Grass Market...

After being badly let down by another guest house in the city, what a contrast at the Capital Guest House. Although he had no vacancies, the owner sorted us out(ringing us back at our accommodation in the Orkneys) with a lovely ensuite room, with views across to Arthurs seat. And although breakfast wasn't included, he sorted us out with that...

We stayed for 2 nights at this guesthouse as a stopover for our trip to the Highlands. Its a lovely little place in the suburbs of Edinburgh. It's small yes, but its clean, quiet and the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. It's clear he knows what he's doing and provides a level of personal service unmatched by other hotels....

My wife and i stayed there for almost a week. We were welcomed warmly and treated more than fairly. The rooms were clean and cozy, the beds were comfortable. The owner upgraded our room at no extra charge because we had a lot of baggage. The Owner was very friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this to anyone!

This guest house is brilliant. Me and my friend stayed for the rugby and it was brilliant. 5 min bus journey to the center. the stop is just outside. And taxi's are between £5 and £8, which isn't bad for Edinburgh. The Owner/manager of the guest house, is lovely, couldn't be friendlier. helped us with any questions we had, and...

This guest house was excellent value for money. The owner was very helpful with helping is with everything we wanted to know. The house is a 15 min walk to the city centre and a 5 min bus journey. The beds were very comfortable and very clean. I don't understand some of the reviews because our stay was very pleasant...

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a perfectly pleasant stay. We had a very warm welcome and help with our bags. As previously mentioned there are a few stories of stairs so if mobility is a problem ask for a lower floor. We got a free upgrade to a larger room (I'm guessing because of the stairs). So that...
