The room was excellent. Very clean and tidy. The building is a gorgeous Victorian villa. Convenient for buses into city centre, a ten minute journey. Make sure you get the day ticket, £3.50. This lets you take as many buses as you want all day. Breakfast was great and Marta and Alan were really helpful hosts. Will stay there again.

Stayed for three nights in a clean spacious triple room. Breakfast was excellent with much attention placed not only on the quality but also presentation of the food. We also enjoyed the caramel wafers and shortbread provided in the room. However, we were disappointed with the cleaning or lack thereof of the ensuite toilet during our stay. They could also...

Booked the triple room. The owner was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good, lots of foods to choose from aswell as the traditional Full English. Non greasy and quick serving, as check list order provided on arrival for next day. Twenty minutes walk in straight line to town centre. Bud route on door step. Stunning...

very comfortable, charming, and quiet guest house, not too far from main road. easy to catch bus or taxi into the heart of edinburgh (even walkable for those more fit/less tired). breakfast was very nice and marta was extremely accommodating. only downside is no wifi in rooms. we would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had a really good time there! The host (really friendly Spanish lady) was very helpful. She gave us information about the best places to go, mentioned nearby high quality restaurants and was quite flexible with our breakfast. Between Teviotdale House and the city centre you will find a park, really good if you like or need...

We stayed here for two nights with an en-suite room on the top floor. The rooms are spacious and quiet. The showers are warm, the bed comfortable and big and there is a large window which gets lots of sun in the mornings. The room gets a little cold in the mornings once when you step out of the covers...

Enjoyed great night at this b&b in the luxury double room (4 poster)... Very comfortable bed and nice furnishing. Shame bathroom is in the room! Concerns: Breakfast is not great at all! Cold instant coffee... Small cooked breakfast (even on a rugby weekend!)... Cold toast!

Echoing what other guests have said. Cute place, comfy and clean room, nice hosts and great breakfast. It's located on a quiet street, but there are some cute pubs and places to eat that are within walking distance. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed for just one night while visiting my son at university. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable with home-made shortbread and teacakes on arrival. The guest house is well placed for getting into Edinburgh. A ten minute ride at £1.50. 20 minute walk to the university. Breakfast was wonderful with a great range of choice. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here 4-6th May 2013 and couldn't fault it at all. The room we stayed in (The Superior Room) was gorgeous and very clean. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the breakfast was top quality. Would definitely stay here again if in Edinburgh. It is a 25 minute walk to the centre but there are also regular buses...
