Everything was fine when I stayed here the last couple of days. What let the place down was the black mould in my bathroom. The Edinburgh Lodge was in the most fantastic location, we left our car parked here and walked into the city. The area is very picturesque so it's a lovely walk in. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were lovely and extremely helpful with information on the area and tips of where to go. Would definitely stay here...

The bed was very comfy with lovely pillows and a good size bathroom with plenty of shelf space and nice big fluffy towels. The hotel was really warm throughout....

We stayed for four nights and found it very comfortable. Reading reviews it seems the rooms may vary. We had a large bathroom and ample bedroom. We were out all day sightseeing. Because of this we didn't have breakfast either. A lovely walk to Water of Leith across to modern art galleries. Very helpful friendly staff. I'm a bit perplexed...
