Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing reception. Sadly I cannot remember his name. I do know he was a Filipino. He was a class act. A real gent. Sadly the Loo was a bit manky which was sad as everything else was as expected. Very annoyed that ambulant "NON" disabled people thought it was OK to occupy the blue badge spaces without thought for those of us who have real trouble walking. I had to park 100 meters away in an available space and had to walk which was horrendously painful.

Overall the stay was fine, about 20 minutes from the centre of Edinburgh. Check in was easy considering we didn’t arrive until around 23:00, plenty of parking spaces. Not much noise from outside or inside the hotel room could have been cleaner and the bathroom had a strong smell of urine.

Clean, basic room with all the amenities, so it makes a great base for walking in the Pentland Hills. Just off the city bypass south of Edinburgh and not much surrounding it; just a Starbucks and a petrol station, but quiet with no noise from the bypass.

Arrived a couple of hours before check in after a 5 hour drive. Did not expect to get in the room until 3 but the lady checked us straight in. She very kindly explained about the buses and where to find it as I did not want to drive into the city every day. The room was clean, tidy and warm. No issues at all with any facility or cleanliness. There is a costa coffee next door to the hotel which has a small selection of food but you can either find food places close by or order takeaway to be delivered. The nearest main road is nearly 1/4 of a mile away so no traffic noise at all. It is a good 10 minutes walk to the bus which is every 15 minutes but the bus ride is pleassnt and for the distance relatively quick and saves stress driving and parking in the centre. We would most definitely recommend this place when visiting Edinburgh and will be staying when next visiting Scotland

We had an overnight stay at this hotel which was very reasonably priced. We found the room clean and comfortable. There was plentiful tea and coffee in the room. The hotel was quiet and we heard no traffic noise. There was free parking outside the hotel. Nearby is a bus route to reach the city centre.
