Absolutely loved this place. The staff were so friendly and proffessional, and really welcomed our doggy who got his own bed and bowl in the room :) the building is beautiful, breakfast was delicious and thank God we upgraded to a family suite room last minute as covid restrictions meant all pubs and restaurants were closed but we were more than happy in our room which was bigger than our flat at home! The views were stunning from huge windows and high victorian ceilings. There was ample parking outside (free from 18.30 saturday until Monday morning). And if you take a walk down hill behind the hotel you will find a beautiful river walk. Will definately come here again!
B+B is a very well situated hotel in Edinburgh's West End - retaining the grandeur of a former life, made simpler for guests wanting a fuss free, great value stay. (To really experience how amazing the property could be - walk up to the nearby Bonham!) After a six night stay, it's clear that the hotel takes cleanliness very seriously BUT a first night discovery was a mascara laden cotton bud and kleenex behind the bedside table. As the Duty manager said - this was "completely unacceptable". By the way - faultless staff, attentive and concerned that everything was ok. Bed - comfortable. Slept well every night On tap free coffee, although filtered was as unavailable as it was available. Details - room sash window needs fixing. It either had to be closed or opened by staff. The breakfast was better than adequate - the breakfast room a lovely space but in a Bermuda triangle of kitchen radio, reception radio and minimal volume tv situated within the breakfast room itself.. something which really does need to be sorted. And not the Capital Radio option. Would I go back? Absolutely, yes.…
We found the B+B via a booking agent and I think the name of the property suggests it is more of a B&B type property, but how wrong that is! its a wonderful hotel with a great interior and has added extras such as brilliantly stocked library and a glamorous bar area. The reception has a complimentary tea/coffee machine available 24/7. Breakfast is a must! Scottish traditions such as haggis and square sausage are all available to order at no extra charge. Although the hotel is about 10 mins walk from the centre of Edinburgh it was very easy to navigate around and there are lots of bars/restaurants within walking distance to visit. We had a family room which was huge and much better space wise than you normally get anywhere. I would highly recommend.
I have just spent 2 nights at this hotel. The location is great.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent with great views of the castle. The breakfast was excellent and was freshly cooked to order.Fantastic value for money!
With a glut of accommodation in the city we booked the Edinburgh B+B for a short break based on customer reviews and we weren’t disappointed. The staff are super friendly, helpful and effecient, this coupled with arguably one of the best locations in central Edinburgh will ensure it’s going to be our go to stopover when visiting the capital in future. Comfortable, quiet room with a spectacular view over Dean’s village and all the usual amenities you’d expect. The breakfast was a real surprise, great selection, good food and all delivered with the same outstanding service. We have stayed in some very expensive and supposedly ‘top’ hotels in Edinburgh before and not experienced half the level of customer service found here, perhaps they could learn a thing or two from B+B on how to deal with the public.…
