Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Everything is on your door steps, including transport to some of the attractions that are a little further away. The room had everything you need, TV, Comfy bed, walk in shower, tea & coffee station, iron and ironing board. Bed was comfy as always with Premier Inn beds. Finally if you're lucky enough you get a room with an amazing view of the castle.

What a wonderful experience we had. From the very first interaction with reception who took our bags into the storage area until our room was ready so we could go and explore the town. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and there was no noise AT ALL from other rooms. Very happy with the whole experience.

Stayed for two nights in February 2024 and I would go back. Firstly, there's no car park but they do have a deal with the NCP the other side of the castle park (about a 5/10 minute flat walk) - cost us £29 for two nights. The room was great, got a 'plus' room - so I'm assuming the great view is part of the deal. The hotel is near to pretty much everything. The castle, Holyrood and the New town. Loads going on. We went in half term so it was busy - and I can imagine it being even busier in warmer holiday months. Breakfast wasn't the best we've ever had at a Premier Inn - but it was OK.

Stayed recently with friends, Edinburgh is a great city it didn't disappoint. Hotel is in a great location for exploring Edinburgh, withing a 15min walk to Waverly station and Edinburgh Castle. Hotel was very busy when checking in as a lot of visitors checking out after the rugby weekend, but the staff were very helpful and efficient and the self service check in machines meant no queueing.

Stayed one night with 8 year old and 6 year old. The room was big enough and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Didn’t spend a lot of time there, but great to be able to drop our bags whilst we explored the city.

We were refused early check inn as "we're not doing that we're too busy today" our hotel room had a false window (opaque/non opening) and the room smelt strongly of body odour. The hotel is in a great location though and every other staff member was great. The breakfast was also really good.

My wife and I spent a few weeks at Premier Inn Princess Street, it was an excellent experience that started with a warm welcome from all staff members, everyone was accommodating, and we never felt that we were away from home Sarah the assistant manager always meet us with a warm welcome smile, hallway check if anything needed and always make sure that we are happy during our stay, the front desk staff and duty managers trying to help perfectly if any issue, as we stayed long and we met almost all the hotel staff members how were in highly professional standard of service I remember some of the name Stacy, Chloe, Lauryn, Lauren, Sitonia and Ella who helped us a lot during our stay, it was a perfect experience for the first time we Visit Edinburgh with promising to be back again and again...Thank you very much Premier Inn recruiter for choosing the right people for the right place, I wish good luck to everyone in Premier Inn

Really pleased with recent trip here, hotel was consistent as you would expect and the location was brilliant for exploring Edinburgh and not having to hike back to a hotel in the middle of the day or late at night. The beds were comfortable and the room nice and clean which was perfect for a weekend break. I wouldn't recommend the hotel breakfast thought, it wasn't particularly nice and they were constantly missing items such as mugs, bowls, honey etc. and this was consistent on the two mornings that I was there. I would highly recommend this hotel for staying in but I would spend your money elsewhere to have a more enjoyable breakfast if you're into food like me!

Room appeared very grubby, broken fridge door and cupboard door, carpet heavily stained. Urine in toilet on arrival. Inside windows and cills need cleaning. Whole room in need of a deep clean Staff happy to listen to concerns and assisted to change rooms, new room much cleaner! Fabulous view from room, shame windows not clean to look out.
