We had a family room with our 2 children; it was clean, quiet and the breakfast was excellent. Staff looked to cope really well with a very busy Easter-time. Bathroom was clean. Beds were really comfortable (although our eldest child said the put up sofa bed was a bit less comfortable than our double bed).

We stayed in a family room which was very clean. The customer service from reception and restaurantt staff was first class. The breakfast was excellent. Had to wait a while for a table though so go before 9 or after 9.30. Would definitely use this hotel again

Staff really helpful and friendly. Drinks prices also reasonable. The breakfast was good, fresh and hot. It also discounts the evening meal if breakfast package taken with room. Bedroom spacious and bed very comfortable. Room quiet and spotlessly clean. Would recommend hotel.

Stayed here for one night and that was enough. The staff really are lovely and very helpful. But the room (204) was awful. The smell hit you as soon as you walked in and was still as bad the following day. Obviously the windows do not open and the air con was not very effective at all. This led to...

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Rooms were clean and the beds really comfortable. We had a room at the back of the hotel and found it very warm during the night. Another member of our party had a room at the front of the hotel and the views of the castle were beautiful. Breakfast was very good and...

Fantastic stay from the friendly team members to the clean comfortable room through to the stunning view of Edinburgh Castle. A little rumble from the trams passing but nothing that would spoil your sleep.

Had a wonderful family holiday staying at the Premier Inn on Princes Street. The location is convenient for all the city has to offer. Had a lovely family room which overlooked Prices Street and had a wonderful view of the castle. The room was very clean and comfy, the staff were helpful and friendly, there was a bar and a...

The hotel is well situated just opposite the castle. Staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel clean and the atmosphere relaxed. Meals were good to very good if the menu is a little limited for more than two or maybe three nights. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
