Hotel in the center of the city. Excellent breakfast and especially the quality of the bacon. In a double room they provide only one face towel! Why/ At three o clock in the afternoon the room was not clean by the personnel of the hotel.

If you are after a central place to stay in Edinburgh then this is the place. 15/20mins on tram from the airport. 15min walk from the castle and the Royal mile. Comfy beds as you would expect from a premier inn. Overall a lovely easy stay.

Came up to reception to inquire about room prices for later on in the year for my family and I. I was greeted by a gentleman called Chris, who was smiling and happy. He was friendly and warm, and not at all myopic like the staff at some of the other hotels I've stayed in. I left feeling informed about...

Excellent position for all the wonderful attractions this magnificent city provides. We stayed in other hotels whilst in Scotland, whilst their facilities may have exceeded Premier, non could touch it for true value. Excellent attitude of staff across the board. The breakfasts were excellent & the evening meal was exceptional value.

Stayed here recently for 3 nights. Hotel is in a very good location, near to all the sites and amenities. I asked for a room at the front with a view of the castle, was told that these rooms can be noisy as the hotel is on a main road. Said I didn't want a noisy room so they gave...

First visit to Scotland. Warm, friendly welcome. Hotel located in city center, convenient for tram/bus/train routes and lots of places of interest, so no need to bring the car. Rooms overlooking Princes Street have fantastic views of the castle, floodlit by night. Great breakfasts and very helpful staff.

Good location for a stay in Edinburgh, being right opposite the castle. Easy to find. Breakfast good. Car Park not too far away and a good price considering its the centre of the city. |Was made to feel welcome on arrival.

Great position for a Premier Inn (a little noisy as by a busy road - if you are used to traffic noise this will be no problem!) friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, fab breakfast, and the evening meal was good (I had the best veggi burger ever 'garden burger') over all a great staff with a 3yr old.

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
