I slept 5 nights at ailsa guest house. Very friendly, the single room is a little small but was very cozy. 15 to 20 minutes of walk from the center. Got groceries and pharmacy just next. Very plaisant stay. Breakfast included worth the price.

Stayed here over the last weekend in October and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Having stayed at many 5 star hotels it was clear to see that this establishment didn't have the same modern look and taste however it had everything we needed & there were no complaints at all. The breakfasts are very good - overall, if you're on a...

A large room with a small ensuite. All very clean and water very hot. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. The cooked breakfast was well cooked, no fat in sight, and the bacon was lovely. We were in the back room and were able to have our window open at night because it was so quiet. Well placed to...

This property is ideally located for anything you might want to do in the city. Many cafes and bars nearby for all tastes. The owner Ken is super friendly and extremely helpful, I couldn't fault him or his service!! Comfy bed, clean room and a good selection for breakfast.......what more could you want??

Stayed here while attending a conference. You can hop on a bus in the next street, which gets you into town in a few mins for £1.50. Quite a few steps up to the entrance and all the rooms are upstairs, so not wheelchair accessible. Very cheap accom, only £30 for a single. So I will over look the fact...

Last minute decision to go for Hogmanay but needed a reasonable hotel near the centre, this fitted the bill ( some hotels were asking astronomical prices) although after booking I read the reviews and was a bit concerned. I needn't have worried, I arrvied late, train delays, but to a very warm SXcoittish welcome, I was warned the room was...

Lovely comfortable bed - good facilities in the room. Shower needed attention (never used a shower like it). The double socket with the air freshener plugged in was away from the wall - very dangerous. Great cooked breakfast especially the haggis.

I stayed in this B&B two nights. I am so impressed with the service. The person running the B&B is kind and was more than willing to help. The guest house is located in a pretty good spot --- a 10 minute (fast walk) or 15 min (slow walk) to Princess street, up a hill, where you will find the...

Had a lovely enjoyable week in the Abercraig Guest House. The room was very clean and tidy and the hospitality and food was exceptional, would highly recommend to family and friends. Very close to the city centre.

Stayed on a Sunday night just for one night in a single room. Really friendly welcome from Stacey, bed was super comfy and the full Scottish breakfast was top-notch, a great way to start the day :) Would definitely return - close enough to the centre but away enough that it was a peaceful nights sleep!
