Stayed at the Tune Hotel for 3 nights. Location is very handy, just across the street from Haymarket station. We got the Airlink bus from the airport and the hotel is right at the Haymarket stop and about 15/20 mins walk to Princes St. The rooms are basic but comfortable and very clean. If you're looking for good value accommodation...

This hotel was close to train and we had a great dinner at 'under the stairs' The room itself was clean but super small and modern. I didn't dig the vibe, but it might be perfect for someone looking for a black, white and red shiny, commercial feeling hotel. There wasn't anything bad about it, just wasn't my style.

Having arrived at the Tune hotel around dinner time we were expecting to check into one of our rooms (paid £10 for early check in) we were a hen party booked 4 rooms months in advance, to be told they had overbooked but were sending us to the Premier inn (yes a better hotel but not the point). Staff did...

Thank you for your review. We "hold our hands up" and apologise profusely for the out booking that occurred. A technical error meant we had no choice and an upgraded local hotel was arranged for you once you arrived with us. I appreciate this was upsetting at the time but glad you enjoyed you stay in Edinburgh. We have offered...

I loved this hotel. A great place for the price. Location amenities and safety factor were the best. It was way more than I was expecting in a budget hotel. Staff were nice and very helpful. The attached restaurant/pub was very good.

We stayed here one night, after a multi-day Highlands Tour and before flying our of Edinburgh. The hotel was convenient to the Tram station to get to the airport in the morning. We had a package rate that included WiFi and shower towels (breakfast not included), but it appeared that they have other "a la carte" packages with added fees...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theatres and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
