Situated in the right spot. On bus route 11 to town and to harbour. Well kept, friendly owners and excellent breakfast. Will recommend for short stay over new years! Close to eateries, launderette and safe parking in the street in front.
Would like to thank tom and rowena for such a fantastic time at the sheridan again , this is a little gem of a place , the rooms are outstanding ,the breakfast is the best I've ever had and the owners are amazing , love coming here always made to feel welcome .I would highly recommend this guest house
A wonderful Georgian house with amazing interior design by our hosts Tom and Rowena. Our stay began with a very warm welcome and this continued throughout our stay with helpful information always on hand. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, well appointed rooms, generous choices for breakfast cooked to perfection by Rowena (with homemade bread!). The location suits us very well. In fact we loved staying here so much it was tempting to keep the SGH a secret! Thank you again Tom and Rowena, we hope to see you next year, Sue and Carl.
The Sheridan guesthouse is as near to perfect as we can imagine. A very convenient location, with a short ride on the No. 11 bus (which stops right outside) to the main tourist attractions. Also immediately beside the Water of Leith Walkway. Plenty of parking available on the street immediately outside. We were greeted warmly by Tom and Rowena, a charming couple who anticipated and took care of all of our needs. Our suite was very large, with a separate sitting/lounge area. The bathroom was modern and spotless, as was the entire suite and house. Everything throughout was decorated tastefully. And speaking of taste, Rowena's breakfasts were amazing. As were her morning greetings! We very highly recommend the Sheridan Guest House.
We had a great 3 night stay in the Sheridan Guest House. Tom and Rowena were excellent hosts. They were friendly, helpful, and provided plenty of tips for tours, places to eat and transport. The breakfast was delicious with a great selection of amazing food. It was only a short bus ride to the city centre, or a 30 minute stroll. We would not hesitate to stay here again and would strongly recommend to anyone looking to holiday in Edinburgh.
