An absolutely lovely hotel. Amazing breakfast and all cooked to order, not forgetting the lovely home bakes. The rooms are really clean and have every facility, even down to cotton wool and cotton buds. The location is excellent and both the proprietor and proprietess have loads of local knowledge that they are more than happy to share with you.

As another guest noted, there are lots of small touches...

My stay at Highfield surpassed expectations -...

The room was absolutely spotless and it was obvious that they paid great attention to every little detail. The breakfast was excellent. Everything was fresh and very well...

A great choice, about 10 minutes from the Royal Mile by bus or taxi. Pleasant super-clean rooms and lovely breakfast.
