Wonderful digs, Chris and Sinead food ample, plenty of choice. Very clean throughout, bedding was changed daily. 3 course for breakfast to suit all tastes. We extended our stay by 2 days because we were so content with our choice of accommodation. Looking forward to come back some day.

Can't fault this B&B. The room we stayed in is large, clean and comfortable with a view of the sea. Lovely to sit at the window, enjoying the view. Chris and Sinead are great hosts, friendly, approachable, happy to help. They're very ecologically aware and make their own shower gel (which is lovely) and provide baskets for recycling. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of vegetarian choices - couldn't be better. The yogurt and preserves are home made and they're delicious. The house is just a very short distance from the beach and the shops, restaurants etc are at the top of the street, with the bus stop for the excellent buses to Edinburgh also at the top of the street. It's quiet and relaxing and Chris and Sinead have taken all necessary precautions for Covid, including contactless registration. Worth every penny and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Porty.

Our third stay here and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Portobello. Chris & Sinead have made this B&B a lovely, welcoming, comfortable place to stay. The beds and rooms are just so relaxing and comfortable and take note of Sinead's lovely artwork. The breakfast can't be bettered with fresh homemade choices, even homemade preserves and yogurt. Beautifully cooked and presented food, plenty of choice in a lovely breakfast room. Very close to the beach and very good local restaurants, excellent bus service to Edinburgh and Chris and Sinead have so much local knowledge which they're happy to share. The house too is lovely, full of books, plants and art and there's a big sitting room with books, tv, coffee machine etc. And it's in a lovely quiet location. They're very ecologically sound, with recycling baskets for your paper etc and miraculously, very little plastic - no unnecessary little free plastic bottles of stuff - they make their own shower gel and it's lovely. For those who need to know it's an old house so there are stairs, but there's two ground floor rooms so if you have those rooms it's on the flat once you're in and there's plenty of space in the rooms and the breakfast room. Plenty of free parking right outside. We've had a lovely stay each time and hope we can go again.

Beautiful place located in Portobello district and just a few metres close to the see. The wonderful welcome of Chris, typical Scottish breakfast (and not only) with homemade and fresh products, clean rooms with every comfort and sweet attentions have made my family's vacation an experience to remember and we did feel like to be home. thanks
