Came across this hotel by accident, checked it out and it's a great hotel with superb staff. Located on the edge of the meadows but easy for city centre. Lots of great restaurants near by including Katie's diner

Partner commented that it looked like Fawlty Towers on arrival. Funny smell in hallway was overpowering, like bleach or some other abrasive product. Building is impressive, and you can see it has once been a grand building but it is so so run down. The lady who greeted us on arrival was lovely, friendly etc. She explained all sorts about...

I was very happy with my stay at the Brunswick. It was great value for money & extremely central. The lady who owns it was lovely. It was like staying with your Aunt. Would defo stay again if looking for a budget B&B in Edinburgh.

I stayed there for 4 nights. The rate was 58 pounds per room per night inclusive of simple breakfast. It was clean and the service was satisfactory. The walking distance to Princes street and Royal Mile was about 15 minutes. The only flaw was the mattress was old and I could even feel the spring.

Good location and good breakfasts. They claim to have memory foam mattresses but ours remembered some one else and not us. The head room in room 4 is poor and the gap between the bed and the wall the smallest imagineable.

We booked for two nights and stayed for a third because of the snow. The house is between London Road and Leith Walk and within ten minutes or so walk of the Waverley station end of Princes Street. It is now a bed and breakfast . We were in room 5 on the first floor approached by a fine Victorian...

Booked a 2night stay for the end of August for the festival, this was booked nearly 4months in advance for a double bed with ensuite and we were really looking forward to it as it was an ideal location. We arrived around half 2ish and was greeted by a fairly young girl (only person that was working and seemed to...

Booked for two nights during the festival due to lack of availability elsewhere. Location is fine, ten mins from princes street and in a quiet street. The building itself is ok, the decor is clearly from the 1950s. Upon arrival, we found that our room was dirty. The carpet had crumbs all over the floor. This was pointed out to...

Clean small budget hotel with lovely staff The hotel was about a 20-25min walk from the Royal Mile and 15 mins walk to Princes St/ Waverley station. However there are plenty of buses on London Road – which is about 2mins away. The hotel is old and has old and noisy plumbing – you can hear when the bathroom is...
