Where do I start????? Ever heard of Omens? Ever wished you had listened to them. The indicator was there, as we approached on the final turn onto the road where this place was situated I stalled my car. I am glad everyone laughed at this point because the rest of the story will make you cry!!!! We arrived at the...

This was quite simply the worst hotel/B&B we've ever stayed in. The place looks horrible, our room was very far down in a basement which smelled very stale. The room was also tiny and definitely not the cleanest. We came early, left our bags and didn't come back again until after 10 in the evening and we had to let...

Checked in, went to room, checked out within five minutes! Enough said..... from the awful old smell when entering to the most grubby room I have ever set foot in! This place is bad, it would probably just about scrape through as some kind of hostel

First of all, the one positive - we were 5 adults who shared a room for £80 so only £16 each. The room - partially underground with a small window looking onto car park and letting in very little natural light. Old fashioned pine-cladding. Dingy - some lights didn't work. Only one bed had a bed-side lamp which wasn't working....

Me and my partner booked this hotel. Almost immediately there was a change of circumstances which meant we had to cancel. Most hotels this is ok to do given some notice (and this was straight away!). Abbot's took the full payment and refuse to refund any of it. The staff have been rude and very unhelpful. Best avoided.

I must admit, it was pretty cheap... And we had to spend there only two nights. But we got a basement room with one tiny window! It didn't feel like a guest house room but more like a solitary confinement. Bathroom was small and not exactly what I would call clean, but it wasn't that bad compared to the rest...

First of all I only paid £49 for one night for a family of four so I didn't expect too much and that is exactly what I got. We arrived to a very friendly receptionist who checked us in and showed us to our room. We were surprised to be taken downstairs to the basement! The room was pine clad...

The front of the hotel looked promising - lovely Georgian house, and the older (South African?) man who met us was very friendly and helpful. Then we were led down lots of winding, low-ceiling stud-wall corridors (no longer in the historic part of the house) to our pokey, freezing cold room. I was able to turn the radiators up, but...
