Three of us spent one night here, in two rooms whilst visiting our student son at Edinburgh university. We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed a good nights' sleep in spotlessly clean and nicely decorated rooms. In fact, the guest house is nicely decorated throughout. Breakfast was limited to continental but there was an extensive choice available along with...

I stayed here the night before my wedding with my 2 bridesmaids and loved it! Great location for us getting to and from hairdressers etc then to venue. Staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive. Guesthouse was clean, comfortable and spacious. Will be back!

Our 2nd visit to the Classic. Allocated the same room again, on the 2nd floor - which has a narrow staircase to access, so state on booking if you have a problem with mobility. We were delayed in arrival but the owners were great when I contacted them to advise, organising a key pick up to get in. Clean, tidy...

Our hosts Eman and his wife Fiona were splendid hosts from the beginning. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was quite large as we were in Edinburgh celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Very kind of them to be sure. Great food, clean room and accommodations gave us a heart felt welcome from the beginning. location provides easy access to...

We stayed two nights on the top floor. The stairs are very steep and narrow. Our bathroom/toilet area was very small. The room had an attic-like sloping roof on one side so that made the room seem even smaller. Breakfast was served in a pretty room and made up of boiled eggs, ham, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, cheese etc. it...

Overall our experience was okay. In Edinburgh for festival so in that respect good value for money in terms of the rate charged. Location fine and around 15-20 mins walk to most of the fringe venues. Continental breakfast was fine and friendly and lovely old house. Our main comment however is that we were in a standard double room and...

We had a stay at Edinburgh for three days, and it was beautiful. The accommodation was right like it's described, You get the same things like in a hotel, but with familiar atmosphere. People/staff are very nice, our room had a garden sight and it was very quiet in the nights. Breakfast was very good, the Garden room is nice...

My wife and I stayed for three nights in early August 2016 as we were in Edinburgh for the Tattoo. We were warmly welcomed and quickly shown to our room which was lovely with the normal tea and coffee facilities and a private bathroom across the hall. All of the over rooms are en-suite so there no issues with others...

What a fabulous place to stay. Our room was huge and beautifully appointed. Good water pressure in the shower. Everything was spic and span. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The owner was charming and very helpful. This is a great place to stay and is within easy reach of the city centre will definitely return next time in Edinburgh

We've stayed in Classic House for 2 nights. It was a really pleasant time for us! Room was comfortable, neighbourhood calm and quiet and breakfast delicious (toasts, marmolade, honey, eggs, pancakes, granola, yogurts, fresh fruits, muffins and croissants, ham, cheese, tomato...). The owner was very helpful, it was not a problem for him that we came at 11 pm. He...
