Ben Cruachan Guest House is just off Leith Walk so close to Edinburgh Playhouse, and a 10-15 minute walk from Princes Street, or do as we did and hop on one of the many buses, any one that goes to Ocean Terminal will be ideal. Ben Cruachan is run by Jackie, I contacted her firstly by email, she was very... More

Were met by George on arrival who was charming and very helpful, shown to our room which was on the small side but immaculate and spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfortable and and everything we needed was there. We met Jackie the owner at breakfast which was beautifully presented and delicious and had a nice conversation. Will certainly return.

We had the most memorable 3 night stay at the Ben Crauchan Guest House. Everything from the room to breakfast was absolutely spot on. Jackie and George were the most amazing hosts and lovely people to get to know. We had several long chats with them. My husband and I recommend this place and we surely will be back on... More

We booked this a few months prior to our visit to Edinburgh after reading some great reviews. We were not disappointed, from the great welcome from George on the first day to the departing hugs when we left made for a wonderful 50th birthday celebration. The room was beautiful in decor and the bed was so comfortable; small touches such... More

A lovely traditional guest house. The room was lovely, big comfy bed. Breakfast superb both mornings. Excellent hosts. Easily accessible to the city centre where we enjoyed an afternoon around the castle and an evening at the whisky experience tour, highly recommend both. Thank you George and Jackie. We'd love to stay again x

We had 2 fabulous nights at Jackie's guest house . All rooms are tastefully decorated, the huge bed was comfy and the bathrooms were modern and spacious - we arrived early and were given a sneak peek at all of the 5 rooms. Jackie is a gracious host and her breakfast is amazing - especially the porridge with whisky. She... More

This lovely guest house is an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh, with welcoming hosts who cook a delicious breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. I'd recommend room 5 with its view of the back garden, its a good size for relaxing & full of light from the large window. You can walk to Leith in... More
