Property's Favourite Review
The apartment is in a beautiful old building that is very well-maintained and renovated. The location is perfect: the tram or bus to and from the airport is within a 3-minute walk, and the entire city center and old town are within 10-15min walking distance, with plenty of food and drinks around. The apartment is very comfortable, with a lot of space, cozy and warm, with a huge bathroom. It's quiet and well-equipped. The code system works perfectly and is very practical. It's really great value for money. The manager also kindly arranged last minute for us to leave our luggage after check out before our flight. Thank you!

Stayed in Room 3 of the Haymarket hotel and was perfect for what we wanted from a short getaway.

Room
The room is spacious and as we have a 1 year old it’s ideal as can sit in front room as normal whilst he sleeps in the next room (this cannot happens in a hotel).
The room decor is very nice and very homely with all you would need for a stay available for your use.
The bathroom is especially nice with a big walk in shower and a large bath which has a TV at the end to enjoy a bit of relaxing time after you 30,000 steps per day.

Location
Very good with easy access to princess street (around a 10 minute walk 20 to train station and has Haymarket station 5 mins the opposite direction which is handy for the bus to the zoo) bus took about 5 mins to zoo and we walked the castle in about 20/25mins and then having a look around the royal mile - lots nice coffee shops and bars ect
Quiet on an evening with not much noise from “the city” so can relax and enjoy some piece on very comfy furniture (I liked the large single seat) very chilled.
As can imagine with a city lots of places to eat we went to the Dome for lunch one day which was nice and again only a 15 minute walk.
Parking we parked in a private car park round the corner and left the car there for the full 3 days for £30 which I felt was good value and safe, again only a 5minute walk to apartment.

Service
Staff at the apartments are very nice people who made us feel very welcome and very easy to deal with and get few things in place for our visit (things like a high chair in room ect it was all as we expected and very well ran.
No messing with a check in you get a code to get into room which allowed you access with immediate effect on arrival allow a smooth transition to start your break on arrival after a long drive.

Will 100% be back again really enjoyed our stay and apartment made it all that bit better as in an evening felt like was at home not stuck in a hotel room.

The apartment was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, modern and cosy. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms are spacious and stylish, we enjoyed the creative amenities that came with the apartment, for example the TV in the bathroom a nice touch and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the effort that the hosts went to as we felt very welcomed by the layout of the apartment and guest information leaflets. The apartment is in a great location, we just walked to the city centre each day and has easy access to public transport if needed. Would recommend! And would definitely stay again! Thank you :)

I stayed in Room 5 for 5 days in the middle of The Fringe. A couple of the days I had a friend staying and a couple of days I was on my own. The first thing you notice is how stylish the building is closely followed by how clean both the apartment and the communal areas are. I have stayed in some shockingly dirty places and even if you are just using a place to sleep in it makes a huge difference to the enjoyment when it is clean.
I also appreciated the decor and the use of colour and found the tonal greens very restful.
So many nice touches from the provision of a Nespresso machine, coffee pods, milk, tea etc to an ample supply of towels and good quality toiletries. I was surprised to get a mid week linen change, dont know if this is a COVID requirement, but didn't feel that I needed it and maybe if this is routine going forward there could be an opt out facility. Didnt need to use the cooking facilities because there were so many good cafes and restaurants nearby and it was easy to wash the crockery I did use in the large sink. Water was hot and plentiful at all hours.
The double bed was comfy and my friend slept well on the sofa bed and because the chairs are wide they are great to snuggle into.
The location is a little double edged, it is just off the main road which means you get all the benefits of regular trams and buses, easy transport links etc and I felt safe making my way back there on my own late at night but I noticed a little traffic noise in the mornings but the shutters help and it is a very small compromise for all the benefits the apartment offers.
The only thing I would maybe add is some recommendations for different types of restaurants , I found some particularly good cafes for breakfast that had eclectic menus and a great pizza restaurant. I would definitely recommend exploring the local area and not just automatically heading into Edinburgh.

We stayed for 17 days in a large modernly appointed clean and safe location that allowed our family to enjoy Edinburgh as it is 10 minutes away walking from the most important historical sites and amenities in the old town, and it is surrounded in the same block by fantastic restaurants for breakfast and dinner. We would stay here again. Alastair Davidson very attentive to all of our needs and made us feel very much at home and supported during our stay.

Highly recommend this apartment. Extremely clean and gorgeous. Very high spec. Lovely big bath to relax in. Great location for bars and places to eat. Pin code for the door makes it easy, no keys pick up. I will definitely be looking to stay again.

Having booked an air bnb that was horrific when we turned up we searched booking.com to find somewhere that would suit our family. Thank goodness Haymarket apartments were available. Alastair was brilliant when sorting the booking out and we were welcomed within 15 mins of ringing. The apartment was spotlessly clean, amazing value and within walking distance of the city centre. We will definitely be back. Thank you

We continue to return to Haymarket Apartments whenever we visit Edinburgh. We stayed in room 6 (top floor at the front) - it was light, airy, excellently equipped, very well decorated and provided us with an ideal base for our days in the city. The apartment was easy to get to from the Airport (a simple tram ride), and is really well positioned being only 5-10 mins steady walk from Grassmarket and Princes Street. The feeling of luxury is immediate when you enter the building and this continued into the apartment itself. The Haymarket team were also very helpful, taking care of our bags so we could enjoy our last day without having to carry them with us.

Hi. Looking to book an apartment. Is there anywhere to store bags before or after check out?

There is an empty foyer where it is probably safe to leave your bags. We arrived after the check in time so we already had the code to enter the house and our room. Anyway if you get there before 1 pm I expect the owner or maid would be there and able to oblige.

I'm not sure as we flew to Edinburgh airport and used public transport to get to the apartment. it didn't take long at all and was very straight forward. we didn't need a car at all!
