Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Easy to check in & and room very clean. Felt very safe. Room tiny but has everything required. The control panel right next to the bed was fantastic as it eliminated the need to fumble for switches. Plenty of plug sockets USB chargers available.

In all honesty I booked the wrong hotel h however it turned out to be a great mistake. Tucked out the way of the hullabaloo of vast majority of pubs and clubs it is in a great little area at the bottom of the mile. So you start the day going up to roll home. Staff are friendly and helpful and the room was perfect.

My experience was bad The mattress is so bad so hard and the breakfast is really poorly no enough orange juice for every one . No enough towels in the room. I think the hotel should supply coffee and tea inside the room

Have used Premier Inns a number of times and always been happy with the service provided. Sadly, Edinburgh Royal Mile Hub has changed this. On arrival, Hub had clearly not been cleaned and was not cleaned during our stay, some furniture was stained and needs updating/replacing. Whilst most staff were friendly, some were clearly having a bad day and were overheard being very abrupt with guests. There are definitely better Premier Inns out there.

We stayed 10 - 13 February. We had stayed in the Premier Inn next door before so knew the area. I booked the hub this time as the price was great for the time of year. I selected the bigger room option and glad I did. It was more than adequate as we really only use the room as a base. I was happy with the room, my only gripe would be the base around the bed where the mattress sits was very dusty with a bit of used tissue - I can't understand how the person preparing the bed would miss this or the dust. Having said that the bedding was spotless. The bed is so comfy in fact I see you can purchase their beds online but they are too dear for me as I would love the superking - I will start saving for it, lol. Shower good. We had a great stay. Had breakfast only once as the following day they had no bread which isn't great considering it is a continental breakfast only. The breakfast we did manage to have was decent enough value for a fiver. Free tea, coffee and water was available day and night and was very welcome. The hotel is in an ideal location for new and old town. We would highly recommend and would use here again when next in Edinburgh. If you like luxury then you probably wouldn't consider Premier Inn anyway but it's good enough for us.

Great location, just round the corner from the main Prince Street and it was right by Edinburgh Waverley train station. The bed was comfy and the room was blackout which I love. We didnt eat but many people were sat in the restaurant at all times. Small issue of cleanliness but it was the cheapest hotel.

The hotel is ideal for someone on a budget. Good location to explore the sights. Rooms are tiny beyond my expectations, but bed was comfortable. Breakfast options were extremely poor. On 2nd morning there was no bread so poor planning there. Staff didn't appear concerned

Ideal hotel for Rugby Weekend, great location. Booked 6 couples into hotel. Rooms whilst compact were spotlessly clean, had everything you would expect from Premier Inn Hotels. Staff were fantastic the whole weekend. Continental breakfast more than adequate.

I will give this hotel credit for the bed and the location, hence the 2 stars However the whole reason for picking this hotel was for the tech, in particular, the smart tv. We wanted to avoid having to pack laptops etc for night time entertainment since this was a relaxing break and we didn’t want to be out all hours. There was no communication that they have been having IT issues and have been for 2+ weeks. No apps working, no movies working, screen sharing was extremely unreliable and overheated phones so much that it was a fire hazard. The wifi also kept cutting out and the cherry on top was even some of the basic tv channels didn’t work nor did the tv guide. My issue is that I’ve paid full price for a service, I simply did not receive. I appreciate tech doesn’t always co-operate but my point is, had I known about the issues, I could have planned and packed a laptop/HDMI etc or made cheaper alternative arrangements at a hotel that offered basic amenities (which is what we ended up getting but for more money) Throughout the stay I had 3 different members of staff say they will sort some kind of refund, which I thought was very reasonable, but no one has been in touch liked promised and now I get the feeling I’m being fobbed off. I hope I am wrong and will be contacted shortly. In theory this could have been a 4 star stay, had it been approached better.. and I’m sure it could be a good stay for others, as long as the tech is on your side and not just an unusable novelty
