Pre booked the festive menu for 4 adults and 2 children. Easy to book on line, reminder email to pre select food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Prompt service throughout. Relaxed atmosphere. Food was good, big portions so we had probably over ordered by adding side dishes. Not crowded at all, good safety measures in place. A great family day out. Very reasonably priced.
We planned our Scotland trip, last minute, (12 hours before leaving). The hotel was a great price with the pub right next door for breakfast. We had a big room with bath and shower, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud and of the pillows, best hotel pillows I've lay my head on. To my amazement, the people next to us were having a party but as soon as the door closed and we were in the room, you couldn't hear a thing from any neighbouring rooms or outside for that matter, amazingly sound proofed. Free parking, free WiFi and lots to do where hotel is, bingo, bowling, gym and many restaurants. We paid for late check out which was an added bonus to have a little time after breakfast to pack and get ready for long journey home. Thanks for a lovely stay and we will be back in the new year.…
Myself and my husband went for a sunday morning breakfast only one lady doing all the serving she was kept very busy menu states continental breakfast and cooked we were not offered anything from the continental or giving any idea as to what we could have both ordered basic cooked breakfast tea and coffee brought to table coffee only just warm when breakfast came we both had diffrent number of items 1 slice of toast (well warm bread) on 1 plate two on the other 1 hash brown on 1 plate 2 on the other and one fried egg with no yolk very poor effort then to be told they had no brown sauce 😭 poor lady serving was trying her best and just for good measure the local loonie was sat at a table behind us and spent the entire time we were there chatting (mostly to himself) which included lots of swearing not the most enjoyable breakfast experience …
my wife and I stayed at the hotel our first night away from home since my shielding finished Have to say the room (disabled room) was great and all social distancing guidelines were followed to the letter I am currently undergoing treatment so some things are difficult for me but nothing was a problem for any of the staff Massive shout out to the cleaners as the hotel as well as the pub was on top form there was nothing that made me anxious about staying we really enjoyed our stay!! The meal was also beautiful and couldn't fault the staff who were also in ppe and kept everything as should be Highly recommended to anyone
We stayed here overnight as we were at a party in the area. We only really used it as somewhere to sleep and didn’t use the adjacent bar/restaurant. Check in was pleasant and whilst the room was basic, it was more than good enough for what we needed. Would recommend for a no frills stay in a good area, with plenty of restaurants on site, and also a cinema.
