Was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews on trip advisor however I needn’t have worried. Yes there are parts that could maybe do with some TLC but they don’t take away from the rest of it.
I paid £250 for 2 nights and it was well worth it, I’ve paid more for a pod before
Whole Lodge was very spacious
Open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room
Plenty crockery, cutlery, pots/pans
Someone mentioned the sofa being low down, it is and someone with mobility issues may struggle on it but there are dining chairs that could be used instead which are sometimes easier when you have back issues
The hot tub wasn’t quite hot enough when I arrived but that is pointed out in the instructions by the time I was ready to use it, it was ready. Fenced all around it so very private - could maybe use a cover for rainy weather
Very quiet which is what I wanted
Handed keys in on way out and took my rubbish, asked where the bins were but the man took my rubbish and sorted it himself.

One thing I would suggest is a clear plastic mat at the French doors leading to hot tub as bedroom carpet is lovely and wouldn’t want it getting spoiled by wet feet. I left a plastic bag and stood on that to dry myself on so I didn’t wet the carpet
I took a video of the whole lodge but unfortunately can’t upload a video so I have put the few photos on that I took

Stayed in pod 1 last weekend and overall loved our trip! The hot tub was lovely and we had an amazing view of the pond which was a great addition. Pod was clean and cosy however the only complaint I have unfortunately is that the microwave was dirty with what i imagine was leftover food from the last guest which put us off using it for our food but definetly wasn't a deal breaker as we ate out most of the time anyways. Overall we had a great weekend away to celebrate my birthday and our engagement and we will definetly be coming back! Amazing value for money

My husband and I are regular visitors here. (think loyalty cards could be implemented haha)

We stayed in Lomond 4 which tends to be the lodge we choose.

Having read some of the other reviews we do agree with some of the comments about cleanliness, it does appear to have gone downhill a little. I know from previous visits changes have been made, as Lomond 4 now has a new shower, and the carpets are new as is the lino in the kitchen (although not laid perfectly).

The remote in the Livingroom still needs replaced as not all the buttons work. - been highlighted a couple of times.

A few improvements could be made across the park just to bring back that "luxury" and I'm sure in time that will happen.

Overall we still had a really good stay as we know what to expect, and we will be back.

We have been visiting Yellowscott for the last 7 years more than once a year and after our most recent visit we probably won’t be back. We stayed in the Benarty 11 and were very disappointed. Firstly the lodge was dirty, when you are charged an extra £35 cleaning fee you expect the place to be clean however the place was dusty and carpets had not been hoovered, our socks were constantly covered in pet hair and main bedroom carpet was covered in glitter from a previous guest.

The lodge is very run down and needs a lot of TLC. In the main bedroom one of the wardrobe doors has a hole in it. There is wallpaper ripped in places, the shower was either really hot or really cold and no Inbetween, the breakfast bar stools are ripped, remotes need new batteries and blinds don’t close. There is artificial grass on the decking that isn’t secured down so if there is even the slightest bit of wind prepare to trip over it when going between the hot tub and the lodge. The floor is soft between the fireplace and window like the floorboards have started to rot.

The hot tub is also open to the elements so if there is high winds it’s very uncomfortable sitting out in it for anymore than 5 mins. An extra bit of fencing around the hut tub would eliminate this and I know this has been suggested before.

I know you can contact a member of staff when there to complain however we had so much to complain about there was no easy fix. If we hadn’t just lost 2 grandparents and had the chance to escape for a couple of nights without the kids the we wouldn't have tolerated it and just come home.

This park has so much potential but it’s deteriorated a lot in the time we have been coming here that it cant call itself “luxury” anymore.

I regret not taking any photos of this lodge during our visit that I can share and would only consider returning if some ££££ was spent looking after the lodges.

I arranged a short break for me and wife to relax during this strange time. On arrival from the exterior looks a little old and when we got in the lodge you could see inside that it really needed a deep deep clean. We had a spotlight hanging from the ceiling and as the pictures attached show the kitchen blinds need a good steam clean. The master bedroom had the old style fitted wardrobes which made you feel in an enclosed space with a little set of side draws half an inch from your bed. However we could not find the remote for the tv in the bedroom so used torch on our phone to look down the space - lets just say the underwear was not mine, did not touch it and was covered in lots of dust.

Sorry to say this will definitely be the last time I book a stay here at yellowscott.

Stayed in Torridon 1 for 4 nights in October 2020. To say it was a disappointment is an understatement. I have stayed at Yellowscott Country Park previously, but wont be back. The place has been declining in the past couple of years. On this visit there was just too many problems.

1. The electric socket in the main bedroom was broken
2. The hot tub temperature couldn’t be adjusted
3. The glass on the patio table was missing
4. There was rotting wood on the decking
5. There was a rusty old Barbecue with 2 blocks of cement on it that you wouldn’t dream if using
6. The paint work was slapdash
7. The TV remote control didn’t work
8. The Ariel on the radio was broken
9. The shower cubicle floor in the main bedroom was extremely slippy.
10. There was a lots of weeds at the side of the lodge
11. We were give one toilet roll per couple for 4 Nights
12. The plug for the kitchen sink didn’t hold the water
13. The hot water tap at the kitchen sink ran hot and cold
14. The bottom of the dinning room table was scratched and bitten by pets
15. The information book was all faded and discoloured
16. The patio furniture was grubby
17. The WiFi was poor

Myself & my partner recently spent 3 nights in Lodge 11 which was extremely disappointing to us. We have stayed at YellowScott lodges yearly for the past 4 years however standards have dropped highly. I will list below the problems we found whilst staying here -

* Lodge was unclean (dust/cobwebs on ceilings)
* Blinds dirty with grease and food stains in kitchen
* Dirty plates (dried in food left on)
* Fire alarm went off every time we used the oven
* Floorboards were broken underneath carpet
* WiFi is shockingly bad
* Light bulbs not working

You would expect the simple things to be clean within the lodge, especially during the COVID pandemic. Another thing that would definitely improve these lodges is a form of shelter over the hot tubs. We live in Scotland and 11/12 months it is mostly raining. The area is beautiful and the lodges have the potential to be better but unfortunately, small but simple things are letting it down.

We stayed in the Torridon 1. First impressions were poor as there was a broken/missing piece of wood on the side of the actual lodge itself. Once inside it was very dated.
. One toilet roll in 1 of the bathrooms for 5 people for 4 days!! None in the other.
. Very dated furniture
. Dust so thick in between radiators obviously hadn't been cleaned in years!
.couldn't use log burner as no glass in it.
.no instructions for using heating, dishwasher, oven etc
. Decking area wood rotten.
.weeds growing in all the planters (no flowers??)
. Broken garden furniture
.dampness/ water marks in some of the rooms which caused a smell
.fridge had tape holding up some of the trays
. Rubbish and old hot tubs dumped at the top of the hill
.large skip at the entrance overflowing with rubbish
. Other reviews said there was big fluffy towels, toiletries and salt pepper etc. We got a couple of hand towels, no toiletries, no salt and pepper
. Was told there was a dvd player, there wasn't

The view was beautiful and the hot tub was good but for the Scottish weather they definitely need a cover over them.

The pictures show and describe it as luxury but it is nothing like the pictures, maybe once but not anymore.

This place needs some work and attention to detail to bring it up-to-date. It's quite expensive for what u are getting. I wouldn't mind paying the price if it actually was luxury.

On looking at the reviews the 'good' ones were given a good few years ago so I expect a lot has changed since then. I wish I had taken pictures so people would know what to expect.

I wonder if anybody ever inspects this place??

We stayed at Yellowscott 4 years ago and just last weekend came back for another 2 night stay.

It's a beautiful location but i really do feel calling them 'luxury' is stretching it more than a bit. When you drive in the first thing your met with is a skip full of rubbish, not the best first impression.

We stayed in one of the Lomonds as we did the first time and the inside has dramatically deteriorated, furniture you would find in a nursing home, everything covered in chips, oven didn't work properly, lamps and flexes on them were actually dangerous, nothing has been PAT tested since 2017, that;s concerning.

The bedroom smelt of damp, cobwebs and dust everywhere, only 1 button on the TV remote worked and we seemed to be the only Lomond lodge that didn't have new furniture out on the decking.

Considering the money for 2 nights they really need to look at bringing these lodges back up to a certain standard, if you don't want to call them luxury then don't but even then they are still below average standard.

My partner and I stayed in ochil 9 for 2 nights. Looked lovely on website but not in reality. The first thing you see is a big open skip full of rubbish when you go into the entrance. Had to clean everything when we got in, as it didn't look very clean. And they have the cheek to charge £35 cleaning fee!
Desperately in need of maintenance and cleaning. We used the hot tub first night as it was dark and didn't notice the state of hot tub area until next day in the daylight.. Needless to say, didn't use hot tub next day! I did phone reception as to the colour of the water in the hot tub but was accused of either being in it the night before with out showering?!
The pillows and cushions were just thrown in a cupboard too which should have been removed from the lodge altogether. I have e mailed the manager and attached photos when we got home but heard nothing back. So just a warning to anyone looking to book here.
I have attached photos but here is a few issues we found.
* at least 6 light bulbs not working also no batteries in clocks. TV in bedroom didn't work.
* compartments in fridge all broken or cracked
* cooker hob cracked, cooker hood extracter filthy
* dials worn off cooker, also inside oven - no grill pan handle, no oven racks. Pans filthy, as were glasses etc.
* dish rack disgusting
* there was a bottle of cleaning solution under sink, but don't know what kind of cleaning product this was!
* sterile dressings out of date (2014) in first aid kit
*hot tub area covered in green mould and algae, and rubbish left from previous guests.

There is a couple of positives and that is the bed was big and comfortable also the bonus of the massage chair. 👍
These lodges shouldn't be called 'luxury lodges' in my opinion. They maybe were a long time ago, but certainly not now.
Unsure of the pods though as they look newer so maybe they will be ok.
Just in the current situation I thought the lodges should be spotless, especially by paying the cleaning fee.

No, there is no cover. In fact there was snow all over our hot tub and when we arrived and when the snow melted there was a pile of sick and some beer cans from the last people that stayed! So we didn’t get the impression the deck was well cleaned.
