Visited as a family of six for the first time, and it certainly won't be our last. Everything from the greeting as we stepped in the front door to the thankyou on the way out was done just right! Attentive staff who were so professional/hospitable and knew their job from taking our coats to even noticing it was one of our birthdays and getting a greeting piped on a desert plate! The food by any standards was excellent, obviously prepared by a very good "chef". The Menu was extremely creative as was the presentation of all our meals. Thanks Garvock you should be proud of yourselves :)

Disappointing. Really an up market Premier Inn. Could do with lots more improvement to make it homely and comfortable. The rooms were very basic and needed to have the benefit of an interior designer and does the whole Hotel.

We stayed a night (28/10) here for a small family get together. Attentive service from the reception, friendly bar staff and the professional dinner service made for a great experience. Room spotlessly clean and bed comfortable! Delicious food in the evening. I was so keen to eat it I forgot the pics (sorry). Having previously stayed here for work, a number of years ago, it is heartening to see this place still delivers on all levels.

Beautiful hotel with the loveliest staff. Stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing. Spotlessly clean, fabulous food but the staff definitely made it even better. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon

Visited as had booked a show at the Alhambra Theatre. Check in was very good, I got all the info I needed from the lovely receptionist. Room 3 on ground floor, very clean and nicely decorated, I did admire the lamp on the dresser and noted where it was from, very tasteful. My room was quite warm and I couldn’t seem to open the window and couldn’t see any air con. The bar was nice, wasn’t too keen on the Shiraz but that’s just my taste. Lots of reserved tables but was allowed to sit at one and was told I may be asked to move if it was to be required. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice from continental to traditional Scottish fare, excellent black pudding (Scottish black pudding is the best in my honest opinion). My check out was easy. the cuisine, the comfort of the rooms, the decoration, the friendliness of the staff are top notch. Only flaw, after an exhausting trip, I was greeted by an unpleasant employee, Kearney, making no effort to understand me, ( I am french, and who did not try to help me, or who said no for a table reservation then 10 minutes later she said the opposite. She must not to be directly in relationship with customers. !!!! This is the only bad memory I have of this wonderful place.

Our golf group of nine stayed at the Garvock for two nights. Our outing has been on the go annually since 1986 and we like to go to different venues each year. The Garvock without doubt is the best hotel venue we have stayed at. The hotel and rooms are great, the dining (DB&B) was fanastic and the outstanding factor were the staff. I can't say enough about the level of service from the staff they were just amazing, best in class!! Well done to all at the Garvock you made us very welcome and looked after our group amazingly.

Can’t say enough good things. A group of a dozen (older) Scottish golfers on our tenth annual trip to a different part of the country. We’ve never been better looked after. The hotel is handsome, rooms updated, spacious and comfortable. Staff friendly and welcoming. Dinner food excellent and breakfasts ample, delicious and cheerfully served. We were served dinner in a separate room (I suspect to keep us from annoying smaller parties, fair enough) and service was excellent. Highly recommended.

We have visited the Garvock several times before, and it never fails to impress. The staff give a warm, friendly welcome, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and the food is excellent. I look forward to my next visit, and would not hesitate to recommend the Garvock to anyone looking for a small but classy, comfortable hotel.

The hotel was good, the staff very accommodating and friendly. I even got a free room upgrade when I arrived which was a lovely surprise. The hotel and the room was very clean and pleasant and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good with a nice variety for the continental. I think the hotel could use a bit of a lick of paint and a light refurb as it's starting to look and feel a bit stale.
