Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another excellent 1 week stay for business. All absolutely fine, helped by all the friendly staff and their hard work. Clean, well equipped, good WiFi. Well located for work, and also for restaurants. Will keep returning.

Stayed here before and it was just as I remembered. Clean, basic, does the job. Conveniently placed. Great night rate. Staff friendly and helpful. Only issue was guest above sounded like they were moving furniture around at 2am.

We stayed at this hotel while in Scotland at a family wedding. It was a no frills hotel, but a comfy and pleasant stay in perfect location to the wedding venue. We didn't order breakfast but there was a McDonald's within a 2 minute walk. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive, and advised us on a taxi service. The room didn't have a hairdryer but I understand one can be collected from reception (I took my own with me). Shower gel and shampoo were supplied as were tea and coffee. The room was comfy and airy despite a strong fusty smell coming from the bathroom..the bathroom was spotlessly clean but I presume a dirty cloth had been used. The shower curtain was also smelly. I would stay here again if I needed a budget hotel for a couple of nights.

We came up to spend Christmas with my grandson and his family who live in Kirkcaldy. They do not have much room to stay over so my daughter and husband usually stay in the travel lodge when they are up.
