Detailed Reviews
Our stay at St Andrews Coach Houses was exceptional. We were in 'The Castle' and loved returning at the end of a busy day to the serenity and beauty of Priorletham! We were fortunate to have fabulous weather and were able to enjoy drinks on the front lawn each evening and take in the view.
Super hosts, Maggie and Claire, are perfectionists and it is no surprise that every aspect of the Coach Houses is to an exceptionally high standard - their communication, warm welcome, local intel for restaurants and activities, no exception. They ensured our week was perfect!
The accommodation was faultless, with an open-plan Sitting Room-well-equipped kitchen/diner and very comfortable beds and pillows. The Activity Barn was an unexpected treat, offering a pool table, table tennis, and badminton—perfect for a family or group of friends, especially if the weather turns unfavorable.
If you are planning a visit to St Andrews or the East Neuk, I would highly recommend St Andrews Coach Houses and team Picken!
Rocky the goat was also a star!

Dear Kelly Thank you for your wonderful review. It has made my day! I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with us and the tranquillity and peacefulness that our setting offers yet being so close to town, it really is the best of both worlds. The accommodation at the St Andrews Coach Houses really is second to none in terms of quality finishes and furnishing. The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom layout lends itself to 2 couples, a family of 4, or in our case just a couple with a lot of luggage which allowed us to use the downstairs bedroom as a dressing room. Everything is of the highest quality and when you meet Maggie and Claire you will understand where the dedication to 5 star delivery comes from. They were exceptional as hosts, even bringing extra glasses down from the farmhouse when we had a few friends come to visit us for drinks in the garden. For us, being out of town (but not far out of town) was a relaxation that sometimes is hard to find in the busy-ness of St Andrews. A five minute drive is worth the price to pay for the peace of the countryside and the magnificent views over the town. If you are a stranger to St Andrews, Maggie and Claire will be your exceptional guides.
Maggie - you know that we will be back !

olutely brilliant place to stay. We had 3 of the properties for a hen weekend and had a great time. The location is so easy to find and 2 minutes drive outside of the main town of St. Andrews. Everything was spotless and the host Maggie had thought of everything with lots of little added extras. You could come to this place having forgotten all of your toiletries and you’d be sorted. We felt well looked after with Maggie being on hand to help but still private enough to enjoy our weekend ourselves. Activity barn would be amazing for families and feeding the sheep was a nice surprise. I really hope to stay again in the future.

Spent a relaxing 4 days here in early May. It was just the wife & I so we booked one of the cozy smaller cottages (ask for the largest cottage if you want the hot tub). Absolutely loved the place. Peacefully tranquil surroundings, even the sheep were respectfully quiet. Hosts Claire & Maggie had thought of everything beforehand, from the early welcome with clear directions on finding the place, to tips & recommendations for food & entertainment in St Andrews and beyond. The cottage was well furnished. The bed was lovely, bedding was great. The showers worked fine. Just a lovely experience all round. Would love to go back again.

Hi Leslie, What a lovely review! Thanks so much for taking the time to do that for our small family business. I am pleased to hear that the sheep followed instructions and were nicely behaved and kept their baahs to a minimum :) We love living here as it is so tranquil and I often have to overtake hares and partridge as I drive out our farm road! Claire thoroughly enjoyed chatting with you and I do hope you can return another time. Best Wishes Maggie

We had the most wonderful stay at St Andrews Coach houses . Our visit was to attend the university for our daughter’s graduation. Firstly we had a very early start and therefore asked Claire if we could check in early to change . She couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, arranging an early clean and communicating when we could go in . We had everything we needed a welcome package , an endless supply of hot water, luxurious comfortable beds, lovely decor and a perfect view . Claire was on hand throughout our stay and welcomed us personally nothing was too much trouble.
Finally another early start on our departure led to me leaving an item once again Claire was a star in coordinating with our daughter to collect it.
This is the joy of staying in accommodation that is a family run business, they care , they can make changes , they are individuals and their guests are important to them . Thank you Claire & Maggie for making our visit so special.
My husband would like to add how immaculate the grounds are well done the team

I was part of a group of 14 who spent a weekend at St Andrews Coach Houses. The lodges are immaculately clean and very well appointed. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise.
The information provided by the owner for our arrival was detailed and helpful.
The quality of the bedding and towels was extremely good
The position of the lodges is beautiful being both quiet and peaceful but only a few minutes from St Andrews.
We will definitely be planning another visit soon.

We booked the St Andrews Coach Houses for a hen weekend at the end of April. 14 of us stayed across 3 lodges: The Priory, Eden and Duke. We then had 7 people visit for the Saturday afternoon before heading into St Andrews (which is only a 10minute drive away). There was more than enough space to accommodate us all.
The lodges are immaculate, well stocked with kitchen utensils and have really comfortable beds. The hot tub in The Priory was well used as well and cleaned daily. And the welcome basket was a lovely touch.
We did have hot water issues but the management team dealt with it quickly and we soon had hot water again. Great service!
Thank you to Claire and Maggie for a wonderfull stay.

Brilliant stay in Priory Lodge. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the hamper of treats left by the owners and the hot tub and activity barn are great for families. Excellent communication from the owners upon booking and we were given lots of recommendations of restaurants to go to and places to visit. Would definitely return!

I stayed at St Andrews Coach Houses as part of a large group. The lodges are very comfortable, immaculately clean and extremely well equipped. The hosts appear to have thought of everything and even leave a lovely welcome pack.
The setting is beautiful with lots of outdoor space, a hot tub and fabulous views across the countryside. The lodges have the benefit of the tranquility of the countryside whilst only being a few minutes from central st Andrews by car.
We will definitely be back

A group of friends (10) stayed at the 3 Coach Houses for 3 nights this weekend. It is a perfect location being only a 5 min drive from St Andrew's Town centre. We were provided with helpful information in terms of activities and places to eat prior to our visit which allowed us to plan our few days away.
The accommodation is immaculate inside, very clean and had a lovely welcome basket of treats. It is set on a farm with an activity barn. Excellent time had by all.
Cannot recommend this place enough. Well done Maggie
