We were 2 couples golfing in area . Great B&B in heart of St. Andrews . Breakfast was varied and any choice well done . But for sure try the pancakes ! Scott was great host and looked after all our needs . Hope to return Sept. 2024 !

If you’re looking for a short stay in St Andrews then look no further than here The room we had was very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced The owner Scott was a lovely guy and very amenable, he also cooks a great breakfast 👍 It is in a prime location and worth a visit

Best ever hotel in my life that i expereince.cleanliness,nice room comfy bed,breakfast food is so yummy,best pancakes i ever taste in my life.location is great,close to everything.you dont need a car.4 minutes walk to st andrews old course.if you are a golfer this is where you want to stay.right in the town center.walking distance in everything.excellent host SCOTT is very helpful.i will definitely be back at st andrews and stay again here.highly recommended.Thank you Scott

We had originally planned a golf trip to St Andrews for summer 2020. We then had to reschedule to 2021, then to 2022. Three years after first booking w/ Lorimer House we finally arrived! Scott was wonderful with all the rescheduling due to Covid travel restrictions. When we met him it felt like meeting an old friend. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the perfect start to the day, and the guest lounge a great place to have a drink in the evening before strolling to the many pubs and restaurants nearby. For a wonderful Indian meal go to Jahanagir! Scott was a wonderful host and as part of our package had arranged tee times at the Old Course and the Castle Course. The men had a tremendous golf experience and the ladies enjoyed shopping in St Andrews. We would absolutely recommend Lorimer House for an outstanding St Andrews trip.…

We had a great 3 nights here. The room was decorated nicely, clean, and very functional. Scott was a delight, we would have great chats over breakfast which was very good. The location couldn't be better, could walk to dinner and the golf course. Highly recommend!

The Lorimer House was an outstanding choice by our group of 8 golfers in our visit to St. Andrews. Scott was a tremendous help prior to going with all of the covid hoops we had to jump through. He was also able to secure Old course tee times for the whole group of 8, making it much easier than trying to secure through the daily ballet. Once we arrived, Scott (our host) took care of us, securing dinner reservations, dealing with the airlines to get one of our guys lost golf clubs delivered, setting up caddies for our group, and serving our breakfast in the morning, changing his time to meet our needs. The rooms were roomy by European standards and updated. We were walking distance to the courses and dinner every night. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Scott helped make our stay truly amazing. I can't wait to go again.…

We were a party of 8 on a pilgrimage to St Andrews to play the Old and the New courses . Scott Finlay was extremely helpful in the research process and was an excellent host during our three night stay . The guest house was perfect . Central location for easy access to the golf courses, restaurants and the legendary Dunvegan pub ! The rooms were great and the breakfasts cooked by Scott were the perfect start to the day .Facilities included storage for golf clubs and we were able to park on the street without any difficulty .The Lorimer is the perfect base for any visitors to the town . Just got back from 5 days at Lorimer House; only a few hundred yards from the links where we could play a different St Andrews course each day. Scott was the perfect host, always ready with great advice about booking tee-times etc. Room was spotless and comfortable, breakfasts very good etc etc

This guest house is ideally situated in central St Andrews and a stroll to the Old Course. Scott made us very welcome. We had De Luxe room on top floor which was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was cooked to our taste, fresh and delicious. Covid restrictions adhered to at all times. Short stroll to restaurants, bars and cafes. Scott could not do enough for us. We will definitely return soon. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Peter & Irene

A Brilliant bed and breakfast in the center of St Andrews, very clean and rooms comfortable, the owner was very nice who answered all my questions. Will definitely stay again. Beds and duvets very comfy. Very easy check in. Highly recommend.
