I cannot recommend Hoppity House highly enough , great location , parking available outside , close to golf pubs restaurants . Heather & Val are fantastic hosts, they went above and beyond to make us so welcome and ensure our stay was enjoyable, helped book transport to our courses , arranged buggies for our party , booked great restaurants for us . Simply put ten out of ten from our party of eight

This is our 8th visit to St Andrews to play golf and our 3rd visit to Hoppity House. With Covid-19 we feared our trip may not go ahead in 2020, so were delighted to squeeze it in.
Val and Heather are superb hosts, communication is excellent in the build up to arrival and once you're there nothing is too much trouble, whether it's booking restaurants or taxis etc etc.
The breakfast choices are excellent and everything we ate was delicious.
There is now a club storage room in the B & B which is great as that was the one minor negative from previous visits, as it meant the clubs ended up in your rooms.
I look forward to going back in 2021.

We stayed at Hoppity House as part of an eight strong group for a Scottish golf holiday. We couldn’t praise our hosts Val & Heather enough. They go above and beyond, friendly and hospitable. The bedrooms are excellent with bonus little added extras to make your stay more comfortable. The location is brilliant, short walking distances for St Andrews links courses, local restaurants and pubs. We will all definitely be back!

I am fuming so I hope this e-mail conveys what has happened. I read about Hoppity House in Rick Steves Scotland guidebook and so LAST MAY I contacted them about reservations for August 31, 2022 check in and Sept. 2, 2022 check out and got a written confirmation e-mail from Val. This past March we inquired about parking and received an e-mail back saying they had no reservations for us. I sent them all my correspondence and they finally replied today of "sorry" but they had a previous reservation that preceded ours so we are out of luck. I am furious! Now I am scrambling trying to find other accommodations.

I went for a few days golfing in St Andrews. The hostess was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. She advised us on the best golf courses and helped us arrange tee times. The food was wonderful and plentiful. We were even given a good supply of whisky, tea and coffee.
For evening meals our hostess was able to recommend excellent local restaurants. Our hostess was very amusing and made our holiday really enjoyable.
I shall certainly always stay at Hoppity House whenever I am in St Andrews. It is certainly a five star guest house.

This is our 9th visit to St Andrew’s and our 4th to Hoppity House.
Always great to see Val and Heather, they absolutely go above and beyond every time, organising dinners, booking cabs etc etc.
Couldn’t find a better located B & B if you’re playing golf or simply staying in St Andrew’s.
Can’t wait to come back next year.

Was not impressed! I had booked 2 rooms by phone with confirmation email received from Gordon and when I arrived he had no rooms available as he had double booked and was initially insisting it was my error-until I showed him the confirmation he had sent. He was not particularly apologetic and although he did call a few other places they were all full so we were left at 5pm with no place to stay and a wedding to attend in the morning

Now in Murray street, close to the centre. Murray Street is almost entirely guest houses. There about six of them within 50 yards. Room was small, bed linen very clean. However, several amenities not up to par: bedside light did not work, no soap in the bathroom despite requests, bathroom door did not shut. Service v. poor: owner out when we arrived as announced and we had to wait outside for about 20 minutes until he arrived. On leaving he would not allow us to leave our luggage for two hours. Breakfast average. Menu promises a day's special which turned out to be the same every day.

I have to clarified that I stayed in the Hoppity House located at 4 Murray Park (the owner I believe has two houses).
The location of the house is fantastic, close to the shopping/restaurants, the Old Course, the beach, etc. . Gordon Mitchell the Land Lord is friendly and helpful in many ways. You feel happy to see him every morning at breadfast time. The breadfast is first class. Good quality food and very well prepared. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. If I ever travel to St. Andrews again, I will definitely stay there.

Simple answer is yes, albeit it's on street parking in a busy town, always seemed to be spaces around when we made our way down to the golf course or into town.
You'd need to check if there were parking restrictions such as permits though, guest house would know that.
Hope of use.
Thanks,
Tom
yes every time we have been there our room has been - they are gorgeous with complimentary toiletries too !
