No less than Premier Inn St Andrews will do when you're visiting this prestigious town that's also known as the 'home of golf'. It features an on-site Thyme restaurant, and new generation bedrooms each with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, bright, modern bathroom with a large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size bed. Our St Andrews hotel is on the edge of the town centre, within walking distance of the seafront and the very royal University of St Andrews. Golfers will delight in the fact we're a very short drive from the mecca of golf, St Andrews Links, as well as other great local golf courses.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Welcomed without a smile! I stay in premier inns all over the country, and this was the most un welcoming one I have ever experienced. Absolutly ZERO hospitality skills shown on the reception on check in. However a totally different experience at breakfast! The staff were VERY welcoming. And I have never had a chef offer to cook my eggs fresh like James. Nothing was a problem for the breakfast staff. And James is outstanding in the kitchen. True professional. This made up for the awful experience of checking in.

We are a group of 6 school friends who were very impressed by our stay at the Premier inn. It was perfect for our needs - clean, well decorated and equipped rooms, comfortable bed, tv, great breakfast and polite friendly staff who were really helpful ( especially when I thought I had left my I pad in my room after we had checked out. False alarm fortunately but staff so helpful). We would all definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family. Thanks to all for making our short stay a real pleasure.

This hotel met all expectations. Rooms were clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. Good Breakfast. We didn't eat any other meals here so can't comment. Bar area is small and part of the restaurant. No atmosphere! Good parking. Only negative is the fact that the bedroom windows are sealed, so no fresh air. (I like to sleep with a window open.) Heating and cooling relies on the room's air conditioning unit. (which actually worked perfectly.) Premier Inn provided "everything it said on the tin!"

Dirty bath, filthy toilet, pubic hairs in the bath the floor was extremely dirty, two single beds shoved together, no soft pillows TV was wonky. Not a good experience at this hotel which is a shame as you can usually rely on premier inn being clean and comfortable. The lady at check in was lovely. The chap at check out was more interested in finishing his breakfast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful - it had a family-run feel to it although this wasn't the case. The room was clean but there was a strong odour of urine in/outside the bathroom. The liquid hand soap bottle was cracked so leaked out of the top of the pump but we got a new one when we informed them. Ran out of loo paper but more was left for us when we informed the staff. The window had a lot of condensation/puddles on it, so there was a lot of mould and the area around it was peeling back.

Just had a 4 night stay here. Lovely clean, comfortable rooms. Plenty of hot water, great food and attentive polite staff. Thus was my third stay at this hotel which never fails to impress Great location to explore this impressive area. Even better if you like golf

Grabbed a last minute room due to the poor weather. Ended up with Premier plus room which was nicely decorated and in the top floor. Breakfast in the morning was great, eggs cooked to order by a very friendly and chatty chef. Good value and all you can eat.
