Having to stay in Glasgow for 3 weeks so choose a few different hotels to stay at during this time. An old favorite of mine was the Glasgow Marriott so when it re-opened I was straight back.
As soon as you enter there is sanitizer available and this is repeated around the hotel at all common touch points (elevators etc).
Check in was very efficient with a very friendly welcome.
Rooms are rather average and a little on the small size (when compared with other hotels in the area eg Hilton). What makes the room bearable is the Marriott Bed and Pillows, which are so wonderfully comfortable.
Like many hotels at present the restaurant was closed in the evening but food is available in the bar which is full table service. Menu is a reduced offering compared to pre-pandemic but does have offerings for all tastes. Service in the bar is excellent and food delivery was very quick.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant and is full table service. Menu is one of the best I have seen recently with very good selection. I asked for porridge which was not on the menu, unfortunately they had non in the kitchen, but next morning I was offered porridge and it was excellent. Breakfast service is outstanding with just 2 staff greeting and serving everything quickly and always with a friendly welcome.

Overall good hotel with excellent staff and Covid Secure. I will and I have been back.

We stayed here for one night as we needed to get an early train and we used reward points for the stay so was very convenient.

Firstly I have to say all the staff were friendly and it felt very covid secure with sanitiser everywhere, sanitised pens and even wipes in your room, so no problems on that sore.

What lets this hotel down is that it is a typical dated Marriott. The room was fine, old but fine. It was the bathroom that was a problem not only was it old an needed work but my husband at 6'5" so not ridiculously tall could not stand up in the shower. I would say that anyone over 6' would have a problem. I just cant fathom that in this day and age they are renting out rooms where people cant have a proper shower. The shower valve itself was very stiff and hard to use and the curtain had seen better days.

Was ok for what we needed it for but I wouldn't have liked to stay longer.

We had 1 night in this Glasgow hotel at the end of an amazing holiday in the Scottish Highlands.

We used the Marriott Bonvoy app to pre check-in giving an arrival time of 11:15am thinking we would never get into the room at that time but sure enough I had a notification from the app at 11:00am telling me the room was ready. A brilliant start.

Check-in was quick and easy from a friendly receptionist who gave us all the information we would need for our stay.

The room did have to be changed as the air conditioning was not working but a quick word with reception and the problem was solved by changing rooms.

The room was traditionally decorated, certainly not the most modern hotel in the area but definitely immaculately clean and well appointed. We appreciated the huge comfy bed, safe, iron and board and the air conditioning! There was a bath and a shower over the bath although I could have done without the shower curtain and preferred a shower screen (sounds a small thing but shower curtains stick to you while you take a shower!).

Breakfast the following morning was available from 07:00 which was perfect for us as we needed to be out early to catch a flight from Glasgow Airport. The restaurant staff were super friendly and the food was hot and tasty. We opted for the hotel breakfast from the buffet which was self service. There was even fried bread on the buffet which was a real treat!

Location wise, it worked well for us on Argyle Street. A 15 minute walk from Buchanan Bus Station, 10 mins drive from the airport and around a 5 minute cab ride away from the West End where we met friends for drinks.

All in all, a good stay we would definitely consider this hotel again when we visit Glasgow in the future.

Today I visited the Marriott Glasgow leisure facilities as a recommendation from a friend. I was looking to take my self and my 5 month old baby as due to covid I have yet to take her swimming. First of all I would like to say how helpful and lovely the staff where. I’m addition to this I was directed to the family change which was a private room with drop down baby changing facilities. It also included your own shower and spacious lockers that where deep enough I could fit everything i had that come with having a 5 month old child in such as changing bag etc. The pool could use a little update but on a whole it was lovely and warm and not to busy which is great in the current pandemic. The walk way from the pool to changing room could use a little more heat but overall I was really happy with my visit and will be returning.

We were greeted with friendly check in staff with a smile. Our car was parked in the hotel carpark as great price of £10/day
It took 6mins to walk to the main town centre and the train station. At New year's Day we were given some gifts at our doorstep which was sweet and on New year's Day we tried to look for fruits but every shop was closed in town. We asked reception and a young man tool the initiative at 9pm and found us a bowl of fruits within 10mins.
Overall a very good price, well presented rooms, friendly staff that go the extra mile, great carpark and very central. Definitely recommended!

I recognize that this hotel was probably built more for conferences “the location is all the way on the far west edge of the city”. The room appointments are a bit dated, and I woke up to hearing the air conditioning water drip inside the vent. Didn’t initially bother me but like a chinese water torture test, it eventually got to me. The hallways need an design update as the yellow/brown makes it feel very underwhelming. The steps to get to the fitness center (which btw is the fitness center next to the hotel) will make you feel like you’re in a horror movie. You go down three levels in the semi dark b/c somehow the lights in that hallway weren’t working properly and I felt creeped out. They really should fix this as soon as possible b/c it makes the property feel even more grim than it already is.

The hotel lobby has clear instruction and hand sanitizer points which is reflected throughout the hotel landings. Very clean & tidy with very comfortable rooms. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much. Close to city centre with ample parking.

Stayed here for one night on business and was very surprised there was no free Wi-fi and in fact it would cost £3.00 an hour unless you were a member of their loyalty programme. Also I was facing the motorway and although there was double glazing it didn’t keep out all the traffic noise. On the plus side the room was nice and the bathroom was good. Overall clean and reasonably priced. Handy for the financial district but I wouldn’t recommend staying here as a tourist.

We stayed here last Saturday night while in Glasgow celebrating our son's birthday.
The receptionists were very friendly during check in and check out. Our room was very spacious and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was also a good size with a good shower. Everything was spotlessly clean.
There was a very good of choice for breakfast and everything we had was delicious. The staff made sure everything was replenished quickly. The young lad who served our coffee was very friendly to everyone and made sure drinks were served quickly and also that the tables were cleared as soon as possible. Unfortunately I didn't get a note of his name but he deserves a special mention.
We visit Glasgow regularly and this was our first stay at the Marriott but it won't be our last. Everything was faultless. Ten out of ten to all the staff.

The hotel has hand sanitizer stations everywhere . Our room was a good size with a large TV. The area where the fridge should be was sealed off. There is no room with a view in this hotel but given that its in the city its understandable. There was a few issues but as i had downloaded the Marriott App my requests were met right away ( bucket of ice x2 change of kettle and pre requested non allergy bedding ) the app is a smart move as it is less awkward to request something and you dont feel you are an inconvenience. The air con isn’t the best sadly. Sue to the customer service being spot on and having the convenience of the App It added to a lovely stay. However the pool is a big let down to the hotel . It’s dirty ( hair floating around ) and there. Was no one cleaning the touch points (kids picking there nose the using the rail to get out the pool) . Due to the pool being so bad I’d probably use a different hotel is they had better facilities , however as stated the customer service Was very good.

I’d go back to the hotel if i planned on booking the spa thats attached to the hotel ( Spa in the City )
If i wasnt going to have treatments I’d probably go elsewhere that had a better pool facility . If you dont plan on using the pool then i would 100% recommend this hotel .

The staff are clearly Woking hard under difficult circumstances
