Second time here, different staff, just as friendly and so accommodating both times I was there even though 2 staff called in sick the day I arrived this time. Marlene is a credit to the hotel as well under that added pressure.

I stayed in the single room with shared facilities (picture). Room was spotless, kettle and hangers there. Just like the room, shared facilities were spotless (toilet, sink & shower), never anyone in when I needed to go so effectively felt like my own facilities.

Highly recommended to anyone staying in walking distance of the hydro, SWG3, SECC, Kelvingrove art gallery/park and only 2 mins from finneston drinking/eating establishments. Also sainsburys 2 mins from hotel for snack/drinks and a bus stop across the road to get to city centre on the 3 (I think). Also you're less than 2 mins from a bus stop to take you to the city centre.

Great for an overnight or even a city break. Reasonable prices for top quality service

I stayed here in March with my little sister, we were going to a concert at the SSE Hydro, the hotel is in an ideal location, a 15 min walk to the venue. The room was very clean and the staff were lovely. Great value for money, would definitely stay here again.

In my opinion, the finest three-star hotel in the city of Glasgow.

With Joe and Sam at the helm, as duty managers, you will be guaranteed a warm friendly welcome that will lead to a professional and efficient check-in and they will continue to provide excellent customer service to me throughout my stay.

The high-quality rooms are comfortable, well presented, and contain all that you will require for your stay including a very comfortable bed with a lovely duvet and pillows; the room was spotlessly clean with some nice added touches.

Breakfast was wonderful, good quality ingredients, exceptionally well cooked and presented. Not to be missed.

The location of the hotel in the hippy west end is convenient for all that the city has to offer and has some excellent public transport links to the rest of the city, the area is renowned for having some superb restaurants and bars.

An excellent hotel which I highly recommend to all.

We booked into the Kelvingrove Hotel having managed to get a ferry back from Mull just in front of Storm Ciara. Rates were very reasonable & we were able to park just in front of the hotel.
Joe was the manager on duty & gave us a warm welcome before showing us to our room.
The room was a good size, nest en-suite , tea & coffee & a comfy warm bed.
After a freshen up we headed out to the Glasgow Film Theatre - the hotel is right on the bus route to either head into the centre of Glasgow or back into the West End. It's also a short walk to the Kelvingrove museum or the Kelvingrove Bandstand ( lots of gigs in summer).
We would definitely come back here ;
Reasonably cost
Great location
Friendly staff

First and foremost, the staff at the hotel is great. They were pleasant and helpful. We cannot fault them.

The location of the hotel was great for us, as we were in Glasgow for events at the Kelvin Hall, which was a 7-min walk away. If you want the main shopping areas by George Square, then it will be quite track (25 - 30 mins), albeit a nice walk. You can use buses, of course. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity and they won't break the bank. We felt safe walking in the area, even at night. This is a university area, so you will come across young people walking around.

The rooms are all located in the lower ground floor and I don't think there's a lift, so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. We had a room facing Sauchiehall Street but we were not bothered by the traffic noise as the double glazing did a good job..

Small bathroom which was clean and functional. However, there wasn’t an electric socket in the there. I use an electric toothbrush, so there was no way of charging it up. I applaud their effort in reducing single use plastic by providing dispensers. There was a soap dispenser by the wash basin and one for shampoo in the shower. But there was not a separate one for shower gel in the shower itself, which I thought was odd. It wasn't clear whether the liquid in the shampoo dispenser was also shower gel. Luckily we brought our own soap.

It was raining lots during our stay and we could have done with coat hooks to hang our wet coats up when we returned to the room. There was plenty of wall space for a hook or two.

We liked the breakfast very much. There was a good choice of pastry and full English/Scottish breakfast, no kipper, alas, but there was oatcake and cheese.

The hotel doesn't have a car park but there is plenty of street parking. You can buy vouchers from the hotel, cash only, and it is a great deal cheaper.

All in all, we had a good stay in this budget, but comfortable, hotel

We booked Kelvingrove Hotel for 2 nights B&B at a very competitive price thought well it’s just to sleep in.
Wow what a fabulous surprise arrived ,immaculate, clean reception area to be greeted by Joe ! Smart, immaculately dressed and so helpful with my heavy bag.
The room on ground floor was large bright and tastefully decorated and the cleanliness was 10 out of 10.
Am I in the right Hotel this is 5 star.
Breakfast excellent and we mentioned to Joe we were going onto Skye for a few days; turns out his partner has a property there so when we came in later he gave me a list of things to do on Skye - the perfect Concierge!!
Have traveled the world but this was a wonderful experience and amazing value
Won’t be surprised Joe to see you at Claridges in London, you’re that good!

Perfect for a 3 star hotel.
Friendly welcome, clean comfy beds, nice fluffy towels and a decent breakfast - what more could a mum want - no stress!!
Joe recommended places to eat, and was able to answer all enquiries about area and transport, and just made you feel really welcome.
On excellent bus route for those that prefer not to have the hassle of driving and parking in the city - bus stop right outside door, for various routes. Central for the beautiful Kelvingrove area and all the fantastic restaurants nearby.
This is not “luxury personified” but for a nice, decently priced place to make your base, for shopping, touristy things or even the service hydro concerts, you could do a lot worse!

Our stay was highlighted by the most friendly and helpful staff one could hope for. The front desk staff was so helpful with everything and helped make our trip to Scotland amazing. Joe was informative, friendly, funny, and kind to our group visiting Glasgow and later, the highlands. He was full of great tips and always ready with a joke. The hotel was in a great location for exploring the Kelvin Park area of Glasgow and was very comfortable and well-priced. I'll happily return.

I stayed here for a night with my two children as a stop over on the way to Loch Lomond. The location was perfect for a walk into the city centre one day and a very short walk to the Kelvingrove museum the next morning (which is a fabulous place!) The room was clean and the beds were comfy and for the price I paid, we were very impressed. Joe on reception couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming, as were the other staff we met during our stay. Breakfast was an absolute bargain as both kids ate for free, despite being only one paying adult, and there was a good selection of pastries, cereal and cooked breakfast made to order. We will definitely return here if we visit Glasgow again in the future and will recommend to anyone else looking for a place to stay. Thanks Joe!

Situated a 20 minute walk from the city or £7 taxi ride from the city. We booked through Air B and B, hotel room 21 was spotless, fine bathroom, great shower. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate in room. Hair dryer, fridge, TV within room. Excellent location for eating out locally, bus stops within 50 metres well serve the city for £1.70. Room cleaned every day. Only downside was Reception, arrived Sunday morning but could not have breakfast as it needed to be prebooked the night before, also asked for taxi, after a few minutes we were told we would be better off flagging one down ourselves outside in the rain!!

Hi Gordon. You can either get a taxi from outside International which would cost approximately £20 or get the airport shuttle which leave every 25 mins also outside international airport. The shuttle will drop you at Buchannan Bus Station. There is a regular bus service (number 77) running from Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station every 10 minutes, dropping outside our door. Alternatively, catch the Subway to Kelvinhall from the city centre and you’ll find us just a short walk away. We would be happy to store your luggage. We look forward to welcoming you
