Glasgow Youth Hostel is situated in the West End of Scotland's largest city, overlooking Kelvingrove Park. Providing budget accommodation with 110 beds, Glasgow Youth Hostel offers a range of private and multi-share rooms and a self-catering apartment which sleeps up to 6 people. All rooms have an en-suite toilet and separate shower facilities. Glasgow Youth Hostel offers spacious and comfortable common areas including a lounge and TV room, games room, self-catering kitchen and dining room. This youth hostel is perfect for accommodating groups, families and individuals and takes care to ensure rooms are allocated with everyone's comfort and enjoyment in mind. Wi-Fi during your stay: We do our best to deliver a free Wi-Fi service but apologise that connectivity, particularly in our rural locations, can be intermittent due to the level of our current broadband provision along with high usage when the youth hostel is busy. Please be assured we are endeavouring to improve where we can. We thank you for your patience and understanding

Forfeiting money for a backpacker is a big deal, which makes my decision to leave this Hostel significant. I originally booked 4 nights, and was googling other places to stay about 5 hours in. Here is a list of pros and cons before you’re tempted to stay at this Hostel: Pros -

Our experience at this hostel went quite well. Everything was clean and the staff was very kind and friendly. The room was comfortable and quite big, but more importantly there was the toilet and shower in the room! The location was pretty beautiful during the day because the

THERE'S NO WIFI ANYWHERE BUT THE COMMON ROOM In the ground floor. In the dorm that I booked, only one power strip by the window that everyone shared (meaning that you had to trust your bunkmates not to steal your electronics in the middle of the night while you're sleeping). I

I booked a single room for 4 nights. The room was very modest but clean and quiet. The breakfast is good value for money. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only real downside - no wifi signal in the room, I had to go to the common space (also very quiet and

What size are the lockers? And what is the charge for the lockers?
Lockers in the rooms can accomodate a ~60L backpack.padlocks (and travel essentials) available for purchase at the reception for moderate prices.Or you can bring your own.Free left luggage service , one room with key available at reception and CCTV above entrance.Place is quite safe.

Hello, thank you for your queries. 1. You can get a bus from Glasgow Airport into the city centre and then get a taxi that will cost approx £5 or you can again get the bus from the airport into the city centre and then get on the Glasgow Underground and get off at Kelvinbridge, you then cut thru Kelvingrove park to get to the hostel its about 10 minutes walk but its a steep hill with luggage, I would recommend getting a taxi from the centre. 2. The train station in Oban is approx 15 minute walk to the Oban Youth hostel. 3. Private rooms across our network vary depending on location and seasonality, please check our website for best prices guaranteed. 4. The only hostel that has an elevator is Edinburgh Central, if we have enough staff on duty we would be happy to help you with your luggage upto your room, just ask us when you check in. Thanks Lorna

It's almost two miles to the hostel from Buchanan bus station. If you are intrepid you could do it, but it will likely be pouring rain, and the hostel is a bit tricky to find when you've never been there before, so I would encourage you to grab a taxi.

It is a pleasant 30 mins walk through the city centre and to the West of the city which gives you a chance to get a feel of the city.

Am afraid I can't really advise. We felt the Yha was very safe and people very helpful. Am sure if you contacted the Yha in person and asked them about bicycle storage they will be able to help
