I was a little concerned about the location of the hotel, tucked in a busy street beside the Central Station, as I was travelling alone. Once I'd reached the 6th floor and entered the peace of the Grasshopper hotel, I stopped worrying. The stylish cleanliness of my room was reassuring too, as was the fresh coffee, cakes, good sized TV...

First came across Grasshoppers last June when we spent two nights here prior to walking West Highland Way. Loved it then, so suggested it as a place to stay for our annual re-union with friends (husbands all old school friends). And yep, still as good if not better! Spotless rooms, great art, yum breakfasts and lovely treats (homemade cakes and...

We stayed here before Christmas with our teenage daughter and had two rooms as a triple room was not available when we booked. After initially finding the entrance difficult to locate (a doorway off the street - not from inside the station) we all absolutely loved this hotel! A true haven, with delightful art works, an ambience of warmth and...

I first stayed at Grasshoppers a few years ago and recently stayed there again - unlike other hotels that become jaded and unloved, Grasshoppers has retained its sparkle and is a very special and very central place to stay.

Came to this hotel for Valentine's Day and it was lovely inside. The rooms were mimimal but made it look all the better, bathroom was stunning and the shower was amazing. Bed was so comfy and had good and easy access to sky on the TV. You revieved complimentary cakes sitting in the lobby which was a nice touch! Only...

The staff in this hotel are most helpful and pleasant. It is an attractive hotel and tastefully decorated. Given it was New Year's Eve it was also surprisingly quiet. Unfortunately, the tiny single room I was given was claustrophobic and box-like. So disappointing. It really should be a store cupboard. My stay was very much over priced and definitely not...

Comfy, modern, spacious and decretive! The rooms smell lovely when you walk in and the beds are very soft and your body just mounds into it. The shower is powerful and warm and everything else was decent and worth the money! We will probably stay again if the opportunity arises.

I have literally not one bad thing to say about this hotel. My friend and I booked a few nights as we were in town to see a band and hang out. We completely lucked out! The staff were welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. There was mulled wine, cupcakes, mince pies and home made ice cream for...

I have stayed in this hotel several times now and for someone who does a lot of travelling I can say it’s my absolute favourite. Quirky with little added extras - complementary home-baking and ice-cream (plus mulled wine and mince pies at this time of year!) Rooms have always been spotless and comfortable and the staff are always very friendly...
