As a PhD student at Glasgow University, I have stayed in the Ambassador Hotel many times. After a long and sometimes stressful train journey to Glasgow, I'm always greeted by a friendly receptionist on arrival. The room is comfortable and cosy. The hotel is perfect for my needs.

There is an airport shuttle bus that takes you into city centre, you’d have to get another bus from there to the hotel, will take about an hour in total. Otherwise it’s about 8 miles in a car/taxi approx. 20 minutes.

Our room did not have air con, and given the age of the place I doubt if any of the rooms had it. However, with the rooms being so large and the ceilings very high, I doubt it would be really needed.
