The room was fine, breakfast was continental but you could get a cooked breakfast for an extra £3. It is situated close to city centre, so ideal for shopping or sightseeing. there is no lift and rooms are reached by a spiral staircase so if you are elderly or have restricted mobility this is not the hotel for you.

Can't believe I was stupid enough to pay £150 quid a night for a twin room. At £50 I might have given it a 3 star review. Very basic. More of a hostel than hotel. No facilities other than a very basic room to have breakfast.

We stayed for 1 night at this hotel. We were welcomed by a friendly young man who gave us our key and explained that we could come and go as we pleased but that the front entrance would be locked later at night but the bell should be rung and he'd open up.As this is a very old listed building,... Literally on the main shopping street, M & S building ended literally where this little gem starts. Friendly team, but if not to sprightly ask for ground floor as steep spiral staircase not easy to get your suitcase up. Continental breakfast included in room rate, but well worth paying £3 for full breakfast. Lovely stay with friend for xmas market and... More

Nothing to suggest no lift and we were on the top floor. My mum struggles with arthritis in her knees so it was very challenging for her. Breakfast was ok and staff seemed nice. If we stayed again, we would ask for ground or 1st floor.

We were most happy with its location; in the middle of Glasgow, you're literally in the city center. The room was OK, the bathroom was quite small and the beds were a bit worn out. Breakfast was OK, as most reviews suggest the 'included breakfast' is nothing more than toast, some cereal and supermarket-pastries. The staff was nice though.

Since our stay previous to this one it has been taken over with new management. Hospitality, customer service and that welcoming feeling has all but gone. Used to stay regularly before this but never again.

Staying here for one night with a friend, i booked it and payed around £60 for it, room is fine but basic. Room is nice and clean and warm, however the bathroom is freezing cold even with me on my knees to turn up the radiator to heat up the room. Water in the sink isnt that great, hot water... More

This place shouldn't call itself a hotel - it's a hostel. Conveniently located for young folks on the piss. My room smelt of sick, cigarettes and you could probably throw in urine and dedication masked by some cheap cleaning products. If that's not enough to put you off, the bed is from the 80's and breaks you back. The shower... More

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff were great, nice warm room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine, I think the people complaining expect too much for what you pay. I would definitely stay here again
