The Social Hub Glasgow garners praise for its modern and stylish vibe, from the fashionable rooms to the dynamic communal areas. Guests frequently commend the welcoming staff and the spotless nature of both the accommodations and facilities. The hotel's modern amenities such as the lively bar and unique social spaces are celebrated, although opinions on value can vary with some concerns over noise. We spontaneously booked ourselves a room at the Social Hub in Glasgow when we heard there was a problem with our original booking at another place. It was the right choice.
I arrived in the city at 8am, after having got up at 3am and not really sleeping the night before, so I was sleep-deprived and barely conscious. The staff let me store my bags and even let me check in a couple of hours early, which was a lifesaver. The building is brand new, really modern, and I loved the whole atmosphere. The room was great. The only thing I found a little weird was the sink being outside the bathroom, but that's a laughably minor issue.
When we stayed, there, there was still construction work going on outside, but the hotel just opened a month ago, so that is understandable. You also did not hear it at all when the windows were closed. The soundproofing of the rooms themselves was pretty good, except for that one night we could hear the people in the room next to us having "fun" but, hey, that can happen at any hotel.
We had dinner at the hotel one night (I recommend the mac and cheese) and breakfast the next morning (a little pricey but good quality and selection).
The location is also really central and close enough to the Barrowland Ballroom that we could walk there for the concert we were attending.
The price for the hotel was surprisingly cheap (including a student discount) for the great value we got.

Dear Salvador, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are thrilled to hear that our team could accommodate your early check-in and that our facilities, including the modern atmosphere and quality of the rooms, contributed to a positive experience during your stay with us. However, we regret any inconvenience the construction work may have caused. Please rest assured that this is a temporary condition as we continue to enhance our surroundings. Additionally, while our rooms are designed with soundproofing, we apologize for any disturbance from the adjoining rooms you experienced. We strive to ensure all our guests have a restful stay and will take your comments into consideration. It is pleasing to note that you enjoyed dining with us, and our central location added convenience to your visit. We are also gratified that you found our pricing to be of great value, especially with the student discount we offer. It is our constant endeavor to provide a welcoming and affordable environment for all our guests. We hope we will have the opportunity to see you again in the future. Best regards, The Social Hub Glasgow Management Team

The Social Hub on Candleriggs in Glasgow's city centre exceeded my expectations. A scholarship recipient for a conference at the University of Glasgow, I was looking for the most affordable stay in the city. Because it was the least expensive option, I did not think I was going to like the Social Hub at all! From the moment I arrived, my attitudes were changed. The space is beautiful; the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. I honestly got the sense that they wanted to help me, and were interested in my experience. The privacy, safety, and security were a load off my mind. In order to operate the lifts, enter a floor, use facilities, or access the hotel beyond the lobby, one needs to use one's key card. As a woman travelling alone, this was a major plus. The decor of my room, the natural light, the arrangement of furniture, the storage space, and even the water pressure in the shower enhanced my experience. However, it was the cleaning staff that made this stay memorable. I would come back after exhausting days to a bright, fresh, well-stocked, tidy room. This level of cleaning staff expertise created a sense of ease and well-being. I am very grateful, and felt because my stay was so peaceful that I was able to better face any of the day's challenges. I would highly recommend The Social Hub Glasgow. What a great stay!

The room was stunning and clean with good views of the neighbouring room tops, which I enjoyed watching the seagulls nesting on. The staff are all extremely friendly, making you feel welcome. The shower was nice and hot, there was a beautiful selection of tea and coffee in the room and you were able to connect your own device to the TV in order to pick what you want to watch! Breakfast was a really top notch experience, fresh, hot and tasty food and an Great selection also. Me and my partner did struggle a little with the lay out of breakfast, it wasn't clear where to collect plates and there was not much room to put your plate down while waiting on your toast, however it was by far the best buffet breakfast I have had at a hotel in Glasgow and that made up for this small hiccup! I will 100% be back especially if prices remain low.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a night away to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn’t fault this hotel - such a nice vibe and staff are so friendly. I’m currently reliant on crutches and we requested ahead of time for an accessible room which was met with no fuss. The room was lovely and clean and spacious, and the soaps were so nice. You could stream from your own device onto the TV which was a lovely touch as it meant we could watch whatever we wanted.

The downstairs social space is amazing, really cool vibe with a nice chilled atmosphere (sitting areas, pool table and table tennis). We decided to get breakfast in the morning (cheaper if you book ahead of time) and really enjoyed it. A great selection of hot food and continental options. Again, we can’t fault the staff who were all very helpful and even offered to help me with the buffet due to my crutches. Check out at 12 is really nice and means you can have a relaxing morning. Also ideal to get 33% off local parking (Glasshouse NCP) as parking for just under 24 hours was only £8. We will definitely be back!

A four day trip to Glasgow saw us at TSH Glasgow which had only been open 4 weeks and was absolutely buzzing. It's also a co-working and events space so there was a lot happening when we rocked up on a Tuesday evening.

The rooms tick all the boxes and are clearly very new and modern. The beds have inbuilt USB-B in them! Shower was great. Tea and coffee (with small UHT packets) are provided.

The breakfast buffet (for £15.50 if you book in advance) was a great selection of continental and hot food including black pudding, haggis, and potato scone for the local taste.

There's a pool table, PS5, and a gym plus their co-working space if you need it. And laundry is included! How great. Just book in advance on their app; even soap is already in the machine.

I was surprised to see the range of guests from young couples, business professionals, to pensioner tour groups. And the location is very central although I bet TSH will be happy when all the construction is completed around their building (don't worry, the construction was never disruptive to our stay).

The staff were the crowning glory of our stay and TSH should be very proud of the people they've hired. So friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It felt very genuine and personalised. Like you're dealing with actual human beings.

Honestly, we thought it was a little pricey when we booked but having now experienced what you get for that price? No hesitation. Highly highly recommended.

This was a lovely place to stay. It is in Glasgow's merchant city, so very convenient for the city centry. The staff are particularly nice and friendly. It is a mixture of a comfortable hotel with the ambience of a student hostel. The decor is quite basic - a lot of bare concrete but all the essentials work well. The breakfast had lots of choice, and you can ask for eggs freshly fried (and just done right). The coffee tastes good. Our only slight reservation is that, for a vegetarian, there is not much choice of cooked food. some fried tomatos and mushrooms would be a good idea. The bedroom was comfortable - the bed developed an annoying squeak while we were there, but this was quickly fixed with no fuss so full marks for that. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and we were able to get a jug of fresh milk in the evening for our morning tea. One small gripe - my wife and I like to read in bed, and there was one bedside light and table but the light was too low to read by, and there was no table or light on the other side.

Dear Richard, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We're thrilled to hear that our staff made such a lovely impression and that the unique blend of hotel comfort and vibrant hostel atmosphere at The Social Hub Glasgow resonated with you. We appreciate your comments on the breakfast selection. Rest assured, your feedback is important to us as we continually seek to improve our offerings. The availability of tea and coffee making facilities along with the option to obtain fresh milk is just one of the many conveniences we are proud to offer. I traveled with a friend to Glasgow for two nights. The hotel hat just been open for a week. It is beautifully designed and we thought everything in the rooms seemed very well thought out. The staff was friendly and helpful and open to receiving feedback. They seemed to genuinely care about making our experience great. We had food at the restaurant, which was really good too. Had we had time, we would have made use of some of the workshops that were offered that seemed really fun. The hotel has a very central location in downtown Glasgow, so if you want to be in the center of the city (e.g. shopping), I would definitely recommend it. The place has a great energy, I would definitely return to stay here again.

Really nice time at the social hub. The room was quite big, the amenities were comfy. I liked that there was access to fruits.
Suggestion: the playlist should be updated (it was always the same songs) and there should be 100% quiet zones

Very clean, convenient hotel, modern and minimalist, at the edge of Merchant City, close to many rail and subway stations.

As is typical with minimalist design, controls on heating/aircon and TV are somewhat inscrutable. There may be shared kitchen facilities, but they were not open at the time of my stay.

I stayed in a single room. The room size was adequate, not cramped. The single bed is a generous size, mattress on the very firm side, with comfy cotton linens. The singles face an atrium that could use some greenery, essentially a large air shaft, and get filtered light.

I would rate this hotel higher except for one flaw: In the early morning, something, possibly the ventilation system, emits a high-pitched hum at random times. This woke me up at 4 a.m. and several times after in a room on the 2nd floor. I requested a move and was given a single on the 6th floor, where the hum waited until 7 a.m. It was not as loud as on the 2nd floor, but still annoying.

In the 6th floor room, I could hear sounds from the hall and conversations and TV from a nearby room, but not nearly as annoying as that hum.

Otherwise, this hotel delivers good value for money and would be a stellar find if they fix the noise problem.

It is heartening to hear that you found our hotel to provide good value for money, and we are delighted that the cleanliness and location of our property met your expectations. We regret to hear about your experience with the room controls and the shared kitchen not being open during your stay. Everything was great. The facilities are amazing, and the room was clean and quiet. Just make sure they know if you plan to check out late. Despite paying £25 the night before to check out at 3pm, they didn't have it on record, and the key didn't work after 11. I’ll be back here next time I’m in Glasgow!
