Central hotel close to a lot of Glasgow. Our room had a kitchenette which was handy. Breakfast was available at 10 gbp per person. Only problem was it is above some restaurants and bars so street noise can be an issue. Also, we had another guest upstairs walking around all hours (which was very audible). Several good eating places nearby.

Hi Anton Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I was glad you were happy with the amenities in your apartment. As for the noise level, we appreciate over the course of a weekend, this can be slightly louder than some guests would prefer. As we are based in such a central, lively and popular area, this can happen from time to time. Please be assure we are constantly working on improvements in the apartments and this includes a planned window upgrade on the lower levels. We hope to have you back with us soon

Hotel's Favourite
We wanted to stay somewhere centrally located in Glasgow and found this wonderful hotel steps away from all the best sites. They don't have nay parking but they do have an agreement with a parking garage located directly next door that we were able to get a discount at. I wasn't happy with the first room that the man at reception gave us and he immediately gave us a better room with a balcony that overlooked the city and had terrific views. The room that we had - the One Bedroom Executive Room ( $237) was huge - with a separate bedroom and seating area as well as a small kitchenette, which was stocked with free bottles of water, soda, juices, chips and cookies. The bed was huge and very comfy and the room was very dark at night, but the Air Conditioner was little noisy at night and there were some street sounds from noisy cars and loud revellers. The bathroom was a little on the small side but had a nice big bathtub. Breakfast was in a small room and was strictly continental but still had lots to choose from. Located near so many pubs, restaurants and cafes - it was truly in a magnificent location. Highly Recommended!!!

Overall I found Fraser Suites to be clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. Centrally located. Easy walking to Buchannon Street, Glasgow Cathedral, Queen St Train Station, Buchannon bus Station and many restaurants just to name a few things. It was a little loud as the room was in the back facing the carpark. Trash/bottle dumping was very loud. We were able to drown out most of the sound with the fan and the air unit provided. The kitchenette was functional. Able to make a nice breakfast before heading out every morning. I would stay here again, but probably ask for more towels and a room not facing the car park.

A nice enough hotel centrally located. A beautiful building, clean room and comfy bed. However it lets itself down in the details. There was no mirror anywhere other than the bathroom so it is virtually impossible to put on make-up or use curling tongs, etc and see what you are doing without running to the bathroom to check. The television didn't work until we discovered the plug pulled out of the back. Had to crawl around on the floor with a mobile phone torch to find where to plug it back in. And as others mentioned, it is quite noisy at night. Perhaps to be expected in a central hotel? Boy racers, sirens, machinery/large vehicles at odd hours outside, and pubs/clubs. It is a lovely red sandstone building with very large windows which aren't (and likely couldn't be) double glazed so the noise comes right through. There is a small furnished bed-sit style kitchen area that would be useful for longer stays. I can't comment on the price but it seems a bit expensive as overall experience at the hotel is nothing special, given the noise and minor issues. The staff are very nice and welcoming.

Hi Penny Thank you for your review I was sorry your stay wasn't quite as you expected. All room should be checked to ensure all equipment is working prior to check in, I can only apologise this hasn't been the case in relation to the TV. In regards to your comments about noise and windows. We are a listed building which although gives us a lot of charm, it does cause some issues when it comes to upgrading the windows. Be assured this is something we're looking at from a heritage point of view with the City Council. I was really happy to read your comments relating to the cleanliness of the room and the staff, this is always nice to hear and thank you for including them in your review.

The apartments are modern, spacious & spotlessly clean. We were given an apartment on 1st floor but there was an overpowering smell of Indian food so asked to be moved. Stayed on 3rd floor but was extremely noisy due to proximity of a very late night bar which didn't close until 3am. Cot provided for baby & he slept great. We however did not. Lots of late night/early morning noise from club & returning revellers. Great location lovely staff & facilities but not great for families if you want a good nights sleep. The smell of Indian food we discovered was from a nearby Indian restaurant.

Hi Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I was sorry to read we had to room move you because of the smell of food from a nearby restaurant. I was happy to read the staff were able to assist with this and you were happy with the size, standards and cleanliness of our property and your apartment. With being based in the lively Merchant City, it can be subject to louder noise levels than we'd like for our guests occasionally. This is something we are always in discussion with along with the local venues. We hope to see you back with us one day soon Thank you

The hotel is pretty much in the centre of the city - about an 8 min walk to the main stations. The apartment I stayed in was massive and really was like an apartment with a spacious living room with sofa, dining table, desk and TV and small kitchenette with basic utensils and pans etc and a spacious bedroom with a TV, long hallway, small bathroom/shower. Everything was spotless and high quality. The windows were attic style which might be an issue for a long stay. One of the aprtments I saw also had a double bed and a smaller bed, and in both the living room could double as a second bedroom. The staff were lovely. My only caveat is that the lighting in the bathroom is too dark to do make-up or shave and the other apartment I saw was noisy with a generator outsude so do ask for a quiet apartment/room. All in all, it was, however, outstanding value for money.

Hi Thank you for your kind feedback. We were really happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and all the property has to offer. We pride ourselves on the size of our rooms, you can't get bigger suites in Glasgow, so it's always nice when this is recognised. We'll make sure our Housekeeping Team get a copy of your feedback. They put a huge amount of effort and pride into keeping our property looking it's very best. You'll be glad to hear we're currently in the process of updating all lighting in each apartment, so, this will resolve the bathroom appearing a little dull. We hope to have you back with us on your next trip to Glasgow. Thanks

We only stayed one night so cannot cover all the points. The property is right in the middle of the city, and you can park freely in front of the hotel for night or in the private parking lot next to the hotel at a discounted rate. Please note that this discount is only for online booking and payment of parking space. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels right below and near to the property. Hotel is bit dated and may look unclean at places. However, the rooms are big and have all necessary amenities. The linen and towels were clean. Given a chance I would skip the stay at the hotel apartment until and unless it is a longish stay.

The pictures displayed are not representative of this property. I booked two rooms for my family and both were just ok. Spacious and linens were clean and beds comfortable but zero warmth. The hotel hallways are dark and creepy. The carpets throughout property are outdated, stained and just dark and dingy. Wall paint is brown or black. It’s just not welcoming at all. Kitchens are well stocked but overall vibe of property doesn’t inspire you to want to cook in the room.

Hi Theresa Thank you for your review. I was sorry to read you weren't happy with your recent stay. All of our pictures online show the wide variety of suites we have in the property. I would like to add, we have no black walls in the suites, or in any part of the hotel. We're currently upgrading some of the décor across the hotel to give a brighter and more modern look. I was happy to read you enjoyed our beds and the amenities the suites had to offer. Thank you

This is a great location as it is in the city centre however the noise is above suggested noise levels. Two rooms are above a nightclub which doesn't close till 3am. Noise and music would be ok but the room actually vibrates! We complained and were refunded for the night and moved the next day. The new room was better but the bins and glass are collected at 6.30 am each morning from the car park bins (which are your view) meaning a lot of smashing glass noises. The rooms were ok as were the staff but you can't get a good night's sleep here.

Hi Gretchen Thanks for your feedback. I'm was sorry to read that you found your recent visit quite noisy. As you say, the location is great, however, this means there are a few bars close to the hotel. I have spoken to all bars concerned as no glass should be disposed of during set hours. This is an agreement we have in place with any property using the courtyard at the back of the hotel. I was happy to read we were able to move you to a more suitable room, especially given the hotel was so busy during your stay. Thanks very much
