A clean ,tidy and very functional hotel close to the train station and shops. Everything worked and the room was comfortable with neutral and comfortable tones. There was no view but that was ok .... we didn’t expect one !
The Apex Hotel is centrally located in Glasgow on Sauciehall shopping street. Staff was very helpful and out going. Large, comfortable room with all amenities in excellent working condition. 7th floor room offered awesome view of the city.
If there was an Awards Ceremony then the Apex City of Glasgow would walk off with a handful of trophies. Ideally located for City centre shopping and easy access to rail and subway stations. Despite this the hotel did not suffer from too much noise. Emma on reception was the star of the staff with Marco and the team in the restaurant deserving a special mention. The service was excellent throughout. Our room was spotlessly clean and had all the bonus of Sky movies and sports. The standard rooms are very compact and it is well worth the extra to upgrade to a superior or family room. The views from the windows are limited though, brick walls or void roofing. The air conditioning works well but is a little noisy. The extractor fan in the bathroom was permanently on even when the light had been switched off. The selection at the breakfast buffet was superb and the food was fresh and well presented. We had drinks in the bar on one of the evenings and the bar staff were excellent. Instead of using the hotel comparison websites do check that booking direct with the hotel is cheaper. We saved quite a bit, had a room upgrade, free breakfast and a £10 voucher to use on drinks or food by going direct. Thanks to all the staff who made us welcome and made our stay extra special.…

We came throw from Edinburgh for a night as we love the Glasgow night life , so stayed in most Glasgow hotels , we thought we would try the apex so we did , the staff throw the day where so helpful , the bar staff where helpful and cheerful and their bar / cocktail skills looked good , a young lady was making a White Russian which looked amazing, so we asked when we could get one later she said any time but night staff hate making cocktails. So we came back at 00.05 and asked for the cocktail and the bar man said no we don’t make cocktails then said he has never heard off them , I am sorry if u do t know what a White Russian is how are u a bar man , get a new job , I will not be back …
