We took our friends for 2 Christmas Party nights, the Friday night was Swede Dreamz ( ABBA ) Sat was Amy Winehouse/Blondie. Swede Dreamz where terrific, the following night the same girl done both Amy & Blondie but her Blondie was poor. The food at the Party nights was very good considering the numbers and was served efficiently and hot....

very dissappointed the pictures on the computer looked lovely but when we got to the hotel the bar was very small more than half the size as in the photo as they have renovated the reception and changed the bar.they had no draught beer and the only brandy they had my husband had never heard of it .he had one...

I’m basing my review on value for money – not for the facilities or comfort. I paid £25 a night here, you really can’t complain too much when you’re paying so little. The accommodation is in a good location and it feels safe due to the security of the building. If you just want some where cheap and central to...

I arrived at this wonderful little Palace House called Cairncross House last month and I just can't seem to leave it. The accommodation is very close to the word luxurious! The staff are so very pleasant and accommodating. The Reception staff have gone well out of their way each time that I have asked them for an extension. The house...

Comfortable and clean Cairncross House provided very convenient accommdation for our family at a very resonable rate. Parking was appreciated and facilities were excellent. The staff were very helpful and 24 hour service convenient. Not five starr but great value for money.

This was my second time at Cairncross house. It was a pleasant stay, I didn't have any problems, the room was clean and comfortable enough, working toilet and showers, friendly staff. It's a student dorm-turned hostel for the time university students are at home. My room wasn't en -suite, it had shared toilets and showers, but there were plenty of...

Accommodation is expensive in Glasgow, this is comparatively cheap (25 pounds a single), and yet rather depressing, endless empty corridors leading to basic student rooms (mine very dark) with very poor noise insulation (at the moment near midnight can't sleep sue do two people in the next rooms watching noisy movies on their computers)... Happy i'm not living here all...

Stayed here for two nights in July 14. This is a dorm that is doubling as a hostel. Not that it's a bad thing just be aware going in. There isn't much of a friendly atmosphere, but the rooms are clean, showers are hot and the wifi is outstanding. They also have kitchens and laundry available. It's a ways away...

as previous posters have said - you get what you pay for: excellent value for Glasgow: we paid 16 pounds per night per single room in August! OK the showers/toilets are shared (but always clean) and it's not a 4 star hotel, but I've stayed in 4 star hotels that were poorer than this! it's student accommodation for Glasgow University...
