Travelodge Glasgow Queen Street Hotel garners appreciation for its prime central location and overall cleanliness, with numerous guests highlighting spotless accommodations and a cost-effective stay. The friendly and helpful hotel staff often enhance the guest experience, although some have encountered inconsistencies in service. While the atmosphere in the dining area has been criticized for loud music and unwelcoming staff, rooms are generally found to be clean and comfortable. However, feedback on noise levels, amenities, and room quality varies, with some guests mentioning issues such as uncomfortable beds and maintenance needs.

Due to trains now finishing early on a Sunday I needed a cheap triple room for one night stay. This was ideal. The room was less than £75 so for just £25 each we had a clean comfy bed in a great location. Hotel was very quite over night. The facilities were reflected in the price - no extras or frills but for the cost it was excellent.
We paid an extra £10 each for the unlimited breakfast - not sure I would bother with this if I stayed again. It was fine but I probably didn't get my money's worth but if you enjoy a fry up then I would recommend.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay,at this travel lodge,on Queen Street,Glasgow.
The staff are all very helpful and friendly,we booked online for £55 pounds per night which included our breakfast.
You can get a two course evening meal for £13.50 pence, and a breakfast for £9 pounds.
The evening menu has a good selection of food on offer, and the breakfast you help yourself, bacon, sausages, scramble eggs, hash browns, cereal, toast, juices, plus tea and coffee,or fresh fruit salad, other food items are available.
We found the drink prices a bit steep,Stella larger was £5pounds,our friend had a shandy which he was charged £5pounds for,the big shock was being charged £3 pounds for a very small diet coke.
The single beds were small and uncomfortable,if you are tall or
big built, then you don't have much room to stretch out,or move around the bed,(bigger beds would be better).
The toilet had a wet room, which is ideal for anyone who is disabled or in a wheelchair.
Plenty of tea, coffeee, and milk supplied,at no extra charge.
The dining area is small, but very nice, two couches, plus tables and chairs,to sit and have a drink.
The reception staff are all very helpful,if you have any questions or queries, they will help you.
The hotel is close to Queen Street, railway station, and the bus station, plenty of shops, bars, and places to eat or have a coffee.
Extra towels, can be provided, along with tea, coffee, and milk,if you are short or needing anything, just ask the staff.
Management, should consider putting larger single beds,in some rooms.
I would recommend anyone booking a room, should do it online.
Overall,a nice stay, thanks to the very friendly and helpful staff.

I've stayed here several times since it first opened and never had a bad experience. This time I only booked 4 weeks ahead and still got a great 2 night price of just under £80. The location is equidistant to Central and Queen Street railway stations, both only a 5 minute walk away. On your doorstep there is everything you could possibly need on a visit to Glasgow. Front desk staff always good and so was the breakfast. My front facing 5th floor room suffered zero external noise intrusion. Piping hot water on demand in a pristine bathroom. Usual comfy bed and pillows, shame they haven't upgraded to higher backed chairs though.

Have stayed several times at this hotel in the centre of Glasgow - location is absolutely superb for getting around and very close to main pedestrian shopping area. Rooms are spotless (although I fail to see why they're not serviced every day). Common areas in hotel, especially by the ground floor lift area need thorough cleaning. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is good value - good ingredients and plenty of choice, but sometimes the seating area is overcrowded. Because of value for money and excellent location and the fact the rooms themselves are spotless, I would recommend staying at this hotel

Very clean, lovely staff but the bedroom was basic. No air conditioning so had to have the window open, luckily there wasn't much noise apart from seagulls. I wear ear plugs so it helped.
Socket on my side of the bed didn't work.
Mattress wasn't comfortable and the pillows, not as good as another hotel that's similar. No free WiFi so cost £3 for 24 hours, which you need as the signal on your phone is bad in the hotel and city centre. The day after I couldn't pay for WiFi again as the signal was so bad I couldn't get onto the web page to pay for it. You get 30 minutes free WiFi a day. You also get 2 devices on the paid WiFi, I had it for my tablet and my phone so my partner had to pay, it then cost £6 for 24 hours.
The hotel is in a good spot to get to a lot of restaurants and pubs etc, train station not too far away. The weatherspoons counting house is just at the top of the road literally 5 minutes walk. There are also a few eateries across from the hotel.
We used it as we went to a concert, the week after the concert prices for a room was a lot cheaper, why do all hotels do this.
We did a 2 hour walk and went to Glasgow cathedral and the Glasgow necropolis which is right next door, the view on top of the necropolis is fantastic so we took a few photos.
Would love to go to Glasgow again but for a bit longer next time

Great hotel, extremely friendly, efficient staff. Room was spotless, it was so nice to come to a hotel where there was a power point near the mirror in the room for hairdryer and straighteners.
Only complaint was the £10 early check in fee. A little unfair to charge tourists this when coming in on a train and you don’t want to lug your baggage around causing a nuisance on the streets.

Stayed one night as price very cheap to explore Glasgow. Hadn’t really expected much as recent travelodge stays elsewhere had been disappointing but decided to give it a try. Arrived mid morning and was able to leave luggage safely until we checked in later on. Asked if we could possibly have a room with a bath and the girl who checked us in was very accommodating when we asked and allocated us a family room which had a bath. Room fine. Desk/ mirror area fine to dry your hair. Windows open. ( two layers) so you felt you can get fresh air. Room overlooked queen street and not noisy. Great central location for popping back in and out from shops etc. Didn’t eat here but plenty of choices around. Very handy for transport links to train and bus stations.

Fantastic location, very central close to both train stations Shops et cetera.
Our room was floor 2 facing the street and the bar directly opposite, which did not appear to have closing times on Sunday as we still noise around to 2 to 3 am.
As I am now aware, the hotel does not have hairdryers in the room I know it is a butcher chain, however weekend prices are not often budget prices therefore, to have to go and beg for a hairdryer is not something that I will be doing again. Hotel hotel bar is the breakfast area which is very canteen/school like not welcoming at all and with this in mind, prices are very overpriced. If it was a decent hotel bar, I would not mind, but as stated this is more like a school canteen and does not warrant hotel bar prices.
With all of that in mind, the room was okay no issues bathroom was surprisingly pleasant and we had no other issues as such

Would I stay again ?
That would completely depend on the price at the time of booking, as I have stayed in several hotels in Glasgow, sometimes, for less than what I paid for this and always had better than this. It is very unfortunate that I did not read the reviews first and chose this hotel purely because of the location which suited my needs that particular weekend weekend weekend.

Stayed here on week days,as I arrived to my room the room smelt of urine and sweat and was unpleasant wasn't aired. The carpets not hooverd and they needed t washed, my white socks where black had to throw out. Kettle smelt ,water tasted of lime scale when having tea. The bathroom shower had only a shower curtain which flooded the bathroom after stepping onto floor to dry,the shower head wasn't up to standard the pressure was slow. The bathroom was very small and no ventilation. The small heater attached to wall wasn't heating the room up,I was cold at night and throughout my stay..I couldn't ulter it as it was sitting at 20c but certainly didn't feel 20c. I smelt weed in the lifts and corridors. In a few occasions I went reception no one was there to complain. The cooked breakfast was cold plates wasn't heated they had no vegetarian sausages which had to wait 20 mins for them I was told, very disorganised..by that stage I had to leave for an appointment. The breakfast was late going out only one member of staff at breakfast short staffed I was told. This hotel needs refurbished. I had to pay £3 each day for WiFi which I though wasn't acceptable as hotels these days gives free complimentary WiFi when you stay. I couldn't use my data and couldn't make or receive calls unless I payed for WiFi. And the WiFi was terrible to. The room key cards kept deactivating I had to go to reception and waiting to someone was there to activate it again.
Lots of issues needing addressed.
When I went to checkout no one was at reception to try and complain again. So I left cards at reception desk. My stay wasn't very pleasant I don't I would stay again unless it improves.

Great location for Merchants Quarter and the current Banksy exhibition. Rooms are clean and the beds comfortable.
Additional towels and beverages are happily supplied on request,
The buffet breakfast is great value for money, with cereal, juice, coffee and tea. The Full English is also available and constantly replenished.
