We stayed for three nights. It was wonderful. It was one if the rainiest weekends this area had ever seen, and as a result, we spent more time in the guesthouse than we had expected. It gave us a chance to have interactions with the staff, who are warm, gracious and caring. The breakfast, in the bright, recently and tastefully redecorated dining area, were individually prepared and delicious. We hope to return in sunnier times.

We highly recommend this accommodation! Great location on the main road through Aviemore, just 10 or so minutes walk from the railway station with many bars, hotels and restaurants in between. Room modern and very clean. Choice of breakfasts excellent, and staff lovely and attentive.

The Cairngorm Guest House offers small but beautifully appointed modern rooms & facilities in a renovated house. Breakfast is served in the dining room and there was a good choice but we found it a bit regimented Had to wait to be seated by a less than friendly waitress & you will be served whether you want to be or not. Don’t try to help yourself to cereal or juice! Also you need to be aware that payment will be taken from the credit card you gave at booking even though the website says ‘payment on arrival’. I had booked 2 rooms at all our accommodation on a tour of Scotland on this basis as we were travelling with my Australian cousins & each couple wanted to pay for our own rooms to keep it simple. When we arrived at 3pm & asked to pay we were told payment had already been taken from my card, this was not what we had expected & made for an awkward situation.…

Hi. It seems that overall you enjoyed your stay which is good. To explain about the breakfast. 1. You are on holiday so just sit down and relax and we’ll bring you tasty food. 2. Apart from the fact that we are more than happy to serve you we aren’t keen on people serving themselves from the side purely because we can no longer move freely in and out of the Conservatory. I would love to relocate that side board but I just don’t have anywhere to put it. Sorry payment was taken before you wanted it to. I guess as you are all family you’ve managed to resolve the situation.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff and helpful, rooms clean and nice, excellent location close to town and ample parking. Really enjoyed our stay in Aviemore! We had a twin room and we’re attending a hiking trip.

A really lovely guesthouse, comfortable and clean. The team are friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend for Aviemore and surrounding area. It it just a few minutes walk from Aviemore centre with plenty of parking.

Stayed at the Cairngorm Guest House with my wife and daughter for one night during our summer holiday in Scotland. Wish we would have booked for longer. The room had plenty of space for the 3 of us and our rather extensive amount of luggage. The beds were comfotable, for breakfast there was a nice selection from the menu and above all, Mark was the perfect host. Private parking is available and the center of Aviemore is just a couple of minutes drive from the guest house. We will definitely return when we next visit the area.
