3 colleagues and I were sent up to the Aviemore area for essential work on the railway. The first hotel our company had booked for us decided to close due to the latest covid restrictions. We were then booked in somewhere else but upon arrival, it turned out they weren’t serving food. Luckily, Scott at Ravenscraig Guest House saved the day! He opened back up for us after being left without guests due to these restrictions. As we are essential key workers, we were allowed to stay with all Covid measures in place. We are also mainly nightshift workers and he was flexible with our needs. We stayed in the chalets at the back and they were really nice. Nice decor and style. The guest house is also located perfectly in the town of Aviemore. Parking at the back was also adequate for our 4 large vans, with more parking at the front if needed. We have booked back in for next week and we will request this place for future visits up to the area. Might even return with the family. Thanks Scott. …
Right from start of booking to helping us make the most of our stay Helena and Scott were awesome. The fantastic breakfasts set the family up for our adventures. We would highly recommend and look forward to staying at Ravenscraig again in the future.
A lovely guest house conveniently situated in Aviemore itself. The welcome was warm and friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and an excellent breakfast was served. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and I would definitely recommend it.
Had a really nice stay and would be happy to return. Ravenscraig is in an excellent location for all that Aviemore has to offer. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was not available during this stay but from a previous visit I would say it was delicious. My one constructive comment would be that the bathroom sealant could be freshened up as it is now showing signs of wear but otherwise the bathroom was very clean and lovely toiletries were supplied.
This was my second trip to Ravenscraig Guest House (after such a lovely stay last year). It was such a lovely stay. Scott and Helena went out of there way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. It was extremely 'Covid safe' with hand sanitisers, and social distancing in the dining room etc, with the option to collect breakfast for those who didn't wish to sit in. The room was lovely and warm, and the facilities are great....fresh towels, lovely quality bedding, tea/coffee and a big TV in the room. I initially stayed in the single room and I was given a free upgrade to one of the cabin rooms on the last night, which was a perfect end to my holiday! The guesthouse is ideally located, being a 5 minute walk from the town centre, with plenty of private parking. It was very quiet at night, and I had a great sleep in the comfy beds! The breakfasts are fabulous too....a great choice of cereals, porridge, full cooked breakfast, and my favourite....homemade pancakes with fresh berries!! The breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient too, and would always ask if there was anything else they could get you...topping up coffee, more toast etc. I cannot fault this guesthouse, and would highly recommend that you try it for yourself! Thank you Scott and Helena for such a fabulous stay again! I will be back....…
