Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the second time we have stayed here with our 2 collies. Although dogs aren’t allowed in the main house there are units at the back where they are allowed. The units are very cosy with everything you need. Lovely comfy bed with crisp cotton linen. There’s a heated vestibule when you go in where you can leave all your wet coats and footwear so you’re not leaving wet gear in the main room. A lovely shower room and big towels. The breakfast is lovely and will set you up for the days adventures. Think we have finally found our ‘go to’ B&B in Aviemore and looking forward to staying again.

Amazing warm and welcoming guest house. Great location in the heart of Aviemore, close to restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and perfect before a day of walking in the hill. We will be going back next year.

Very nice guest house. Staff very friendly and room (at the rear) comfortable and warm. Super little drying room also to the rear. Get breakfast too! Eating places for dinner close by, but you should book - just in case. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Good pub grub in Balavoulin a few doors along the street. But can be busy so best to book.

Hosts were great help! Even before our stay, they were very communicative and helpful to give us tips and places to book reservations. The place was clean, the people were kind, and the breakfast was delicious. I would recommend a stay!

Great accommodation and great hosts. Clean and comfortable. Stayed here whilst working nearby and it was everything we needed. Parking is available and they also were happy to accommodate the dog in one of the cabins.

I highly recommend staying at Ravenscraig when in Aviemore. They are a family-run business, everyone there is warm and welcoming. The guest house has been well renovated, and many useful & thoughtful features are provided, such as the bathroom mirror with a demister, and the nested side tables in my room which provide more table real estate when needed and stow to return more floor space. The shower is powerful, and toiletries provided are very good. The breakfast is delicious with sufficient options. Guest house's location is also very good, walking distance to the train station and shops around there. I wish I could give extra 5 stars for the very friendly resident cat.

After a lot of driving from The Midlands, it's nice to arrive somewhere where you are warmly greeted and somebody takes a genuine interest in you and your travels. That's exactly how it was when I arrived at Ravenscraig Guesthouse. I had one of th single rooms. Spotless, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant too! I look forward to staying again when in the area.

Scott rescued us from a nearby hotel that can best be described as a mistaken booking. He actually came and picked us up himself. We were fortunate that they had a late cancellation and we called at just the right time. The cabin room was perfectly provisioned and immaculate. The space was well designed and had all the amenities we needed to make us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and featured unlimited coffee which is always a plus. Scott and Helena were fantastic hosts, and truly changed our short trip from one of enduring mediocre accommodations until we could get out of town to a refreshing and enjoyable experience to remember. We got a great recommendation for the pizza place down the way (Cheese + Tomatin) which was fantastic, a very restful night, and a great memory for our trip. We will absolutely be booking at Ravenscraig the next time we are in Aviemore. Thank you Scott and Helena.

We were greeted and welcomed by Scott who was very detailed in explaining how the first house functions. The place was lovely, nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night rest before we headed out the next day. Definitely a place to consider staying if you are ever making a trip there!

I arranged a family trip with my two children and my mother. When planning this trip with my family, I was contemplating booking a family room at the Premier. On arrival I was I didn't choose to stay at Ravencraigs. The accommodations at Ravencraigs are delightful and contemporary, offering an ample amount of space to comfortably accommodate the four of us. We were thoroughly impressed with the breakfast; they even went the extra mile to reserve a table for my family. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. Without a doubt, I would make another reservation and revisit Ravencraigs in the future.
