It’s not often you feel compelled to review somewhere as flawless but Isobel and her lovely house were as close as it gets in terms of B&Bs for us. From the welcoming smile on the doorstep as we pulled into the drive to the heartfelt best wishes on departure every aspect of our comfort and experience were thought of and cared for. The house is beautiful, the location beautiful and a great spot to stay in or use as a base to explore and the fittings, decoration, furnishings, beds, bathrooms etc exude heart and warmth. But the energy Isobel puts into making sure everything is just right, from cleanliness (and a wealth of Covid precautions/sanitisation offerings) to the well thought out bedroom accessories and snacks to the lovely breakfasts served as you like and at a time you like really sets Chrialdon House apart. She is genuinely interested in her guests, helpful wherever she can be and warm and welcoming throughout. A star in a standout property and location. Highly recommended. Thanks Isobel, Marc & Janet x…
Thank you Isobel for such a warm welcome to Chrialdon House. The property is beautifully presented and we enjoyed our stay for a night before the long drive back down south. The room we had was spotless, with lots of lovely extras. The bed and bedding was so comfortable and we both had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for our journey home. Thoroughly recommend staying at Chrialdon House.
Myself, my fiancé and his parents decided to do a road trip around the North of Scotland in September. One of the stops was at Beauly where we stayed at Chrialdon House and I cannot recommend this place enough! We were greeted at the front door by Isobel (the house owner) and given some precautions for Covid-19. This included a hand sanitising station which made us feel reassured that the safety of guests was a priority. Isobel lead us to our rooms which were all different and beautifully decorated. The rooms were also spotless! We had everything we needed for an overnight stay, including a kettle (with tea and coffee supplied) and some chocolates provided by Isobel. The house is approximately a 5 minute walk to the town centre. There is a small number of local restaurants, pubs and shops including a Boots Pharmacy. We ate at a local restaurant called Shimla which I would also recommend. We walked back to the house afterwards and watched some television in the dining/living room which was really cosy (picture attached). The following morning, we had an excellent breakfast, we all ordered a full fry up however there were plenty of other options. Breakfast times are staggered as a Covid-19 measure. You are asked to specify what time you would like breakfast the night before. Every aspect of the stay is incredibly organised. One of our party had hurt their shoulder at the beginning of the trip and was clearly in pain at breakfast. Isobel noticed this and gave us the number of a local doctor and was incredibly helpful. On our day of check out I had to complete some meetings via Zoom for work. I knew we had to check out at 10:00 but asked if it was possible to work from the house for a couple of hours. I felt awkward as I knew this was a little cheeky, however I couldn’t miss the meeting. Isobel was so accommodating and said I could work from the dining room as long as required! She cleaned one of the bathrooms downstairs for me to use, and left out some water. I thought this was definitely going the extra mile in terms of customer service. I walked to Beauly train station afterwards (approximately a 10 minute walk) to meet back up with the group en route. The house is beautiful, near the local amenities and Isobel made the stay totally stress free. I would highly recommend. …
We stayed here while on a fishing trip and I could not recommend more highly. The house itself has bags of character and Isobel is a wonderful host. The rooms themselves are very well appointed and have that essential feature... An ensuite shower that is modern and works really well. Last but not least is the quality and size of the breakfast. Overall this is a great value and high quality B&B and well worth a visit if you are looking to stay in the area.
