We chose this hotel as a stopover. It was very comfortable. The owner was charming and helpful. The restaurant was very good and we had a lovely evening meal there. The hotel has lovely views over the bay and the beautiful beach is not that far away from the hotel. Other than that its a fairly quiet place, or so...

The hotel is in Portskerra and very close to the bay. It is easy to find and has a restaurant and pub. The hotel is older but clean and neat. The couple that own it are younger and Rob has previously been in the US teaching snowboarding. We enjoyed our stay. The highlight was dinner. (Rob is the chef). The...

We ate in the restaurant and the food is superb. You will be surprised at the quality. Also the breakfast is to the same standard....

I stayed here for two nights last month. I was warmly welcomed by the proprietor and shown to my room, which was comfortably furnished. The food was very good and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a lovely setting on the north coast of Scotland., and I was fortunate to have good weather for my short stay....

Large TV wall mounted, but we didn't watch it as signal wasn't great. Unfortunately having been in NW Scotland for over a week now, this didn't surprise us in the least in fact we'd got used...

This was a nice, friendly hotel and the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was described as being small but it was actually a more than acceptable size with a comfortable bed and a nice view over the gardens and perfectly clean. We ate dinner at the hotel; unfortunately they had run out of...

Really lovely staff, superb black pudding starter at dinner, good whisky selection. Location is wonderful- so close to Melvich beach which is beautiful. The hotel is very easy to find as it is just as you come into Melvich.

The room we were in was described as a small double if that was small the others must have beed huge. Clean modern comfortable room. Food good but menu limited could benifit with some plainer dishes eg fish and chips or steak pie somthing like that. Over all an enjoyable stay.
