The room we were in was described as a small double if that was small the others must have beed huge. Clean modern comfortable room. Food good but menu limited could benifit with some plainer dishes eg fish and chips or steak pie somthing like that. Over all an enjoyable stay.

Arriving for one nights stay we over shot the hotel as the Melvich Hotel Sign only seems visible arriving from Thurso Area ( East ) and not from the west. This didn't cause us a problem as we stopped of at a little pub a few miles further down. shared a swift one with the locals and got put back...

Location: sea-view, but pretty distant from it. The hotel, FROM THE OUTSIDE, is nice and CHARACTERISTIC; with a BEAUTIFUL GARDEN, very well looked after. What a shame that, as soon as we went beyond the reception and traversed the HALLWAYS, all CHARM VANISHED and we were struck by an PIERCING STINK OF MOISTURE!!! I guess it’s because of the omnipresent...

We stayed here on our way to Orkney and it was lovely. The staff were very attentive, helpful and really made us feel welcome. The room was lovely and clean with stunning views when the weather permitted. The restaurant was very very good, it was a shame they only had one of the Sole specials left when we sat down...

We made this our base for a day trip to Orkney and it was perfect. We enjoyed the large room and bath, as well as the friendly staff and good hot breakfasts. Although they say hot food is prepared starting at 7:30, they were kind enough to make us hot breakfasts earlier so we could catch the ferry.

The outside from the road does not look promising but the welcome inside is great. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The fish for an evening meal was lovely and the staff were very eager to please. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the view across the garden and bay was beautiful. There is...

The staff were very friendly and the views from the hotel were amazing. When we arrived we were shown to our room - we had booked a small double. The room was clean and basic but we weren't looking for anything fancy as long as it was clean which it was. However the bed was probably the worst bed I've...

We stayed here while doing the North Coast 500 - the hotel was great and totally what we needed. They provided lovely sea kelp hand wash! We ate dinner at the hotel as well which was lovely. Good breakfast too!

Although a bit quirky , this was a great place to stay while traveling the coast. Location is perfect, with views of the ocean from room and restaurant . Room adequate, bed comfortable. Restaurant pretty good for dinner although breakfast was a disappointment compared to other places we have visited here in Scotland. Improvements to room would include fixing the...

All my party were staying at this hotel. 12 of us. The hotel is well presented. We like the locals public bar. The rooms were spacious, well equipped with a nautical theme. I knew my wife would have enjoyed a stay here..... The food was well prepared and a good selection. The service was patchy. The bar in the restaurant...
