We stayed in room 1 which was modern and comfortable space with the benefit of a great, dual aspect sea view. The Marine was our first stopping point on a trip to explore the Highlands & Islands. Karen was responsive and helpful during the booking process and throughout our stay. Our visit was during the Covid restrictions which limited our dinner options but Karen did everything reasonably possible to make sure our trip was enjoyable under the circumstances. The building is not the prettiest to look at from the outside but once you’re inside and enjoying the views out to the bay and the Orkneys it more than makes up for it! A very comfortable B&B which made a good base to explore the north coast of Scotland.

Trisha and I really enjoyed our stay at the Marine, Thurso. Karen was a very good host. The room was tastefully furnished, and finished to a very high specification. Breakfast choice was really good and tasty The Marine has a lovely guest lounge looking out on Thurso bay - difficult to better. We would highly recommend

I stayed two nights in room 3, which has lovely views out onto the bay, and is right besides the beach and the relaxing sounds of the waves breaking on it. I couldn't fault anything. Comfy, cosy, spotlessly clean. Karen and her staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, the room and bathroom spacious and containing everything needed. Very highly recommended.
