With Scotland just coming out of COVID regulations, it was understandable that some staff were still cautious in welcoming new visitors. This hotel, somewhat dour in its style and presentation, provided us with a friendly if cautious welcome and our room was clean and suitable for a one night stay. breakfast was fine and the attached bistro restaurant provided us with an evening meal.

My Wife and I attended a wedding in the MacKays Hotel Wick, stayed for a night. The event was excellent, well organised and brilliantly hosted by the proprietors. They ensured that we all felt like a part of what is a very well family run Hotel. Every single member of staff were brilliant and couldn't do more to make the wedding day and our stay go any better. A brilliant experience from start to finish.

Easy to find, easy to park, welcoming staff, great food and a good nights sleep! We ate in the restaurant and would recommend if you are staying as it's great food and service :) Maybe the bathrooms could do with an update but not a necessity!

Wick is fascinating but quite down at heal. This hotel was a real find. Great tasting freshly cooked food. Well presented and friendly staff. A surprising bit of class. Looks like it would be quite a pleasant place to stay as well. Fun to know it’s on the shortest street in the world!

We booked this at the last minute and were delighted. The manager upgraded us and the room was beautifully clean and warm. Definitely one of the best hotels on our North Coast 500 trip. The staff are very welcoming too - it feels like you're a part of the family here. The restaurant too is superb and highly recommended.
