Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just back from a lovely weekend at the Chieftain. Rooms were spotless and spacious. Plenty tea, coffee etc. if we needed anymore it wasn’t a problem to ask and top it up. Extremely doggy friendly infact would say the best we’ve had plus your fur baby gets a wee goody bag. The food was lovely wholesome food and plenty of it. All the staff were excellent and great banter. This was our first visit and couldn’t fault anything. The room was lovely and warm infact we had to put the radiator in the bedroom down as we were too hot.

If you want a Fawlty Towers experience, I thoroughly recommend this hotel. I made the mistake of asking why our room hadn't been serviced and was greeted by a visibly furious owner who went completely bananas that a guest would dare to ask such a question. Don't mention the war.

Superb, I arrange with Liz for 23 members of staff to have an evening out including a three course meal at the chieftain. The atmosphere, food and staff were fantastic. Not only did it have a great selection food with something for everyone, every dish was served hot, fresh and tasty. How the front and back of house got out all the courses served on time and together was a credit to Liz and her staff. Afterwards we enjoyed the use of the beer garden and lounge area. This is a great place to go and unwind, catch up with friends and colleagues if your looking for a location that has friendly atmosphere, great staff and big enough to take large group’s. A big thank you to the Chieftain team.

We just came back from 2 night stay at chieftain hotel in Inverness as we were attending the wedding venue in this hotel and I have to say that hotel is very very clean, food amazing and staff very helpful and kind. Hotel have great service at meal times. There is also a sport bar and table pool with darts. To summarise if we could give more that 5 star we would and if we be passing by Inverness we definitely stay again in chieftain hotel. Please send our regards to housekeeping staff as rooms were so clean and to all staff to make our stay very comfortable and relaxing

Very comfortable and friendly hotel. Nice sports bar, with big screen and pool tables. Excellent choice and service at breakfast. Easy parking and within strolling distance to the station and city centre. We were there with our dog, and were very welcome. Bed was maybe a little small, but comfortable enough.

Great hotel. Food is brilliant and the staff are very friendly. Close to the town centre. The room was very spacious & clean. Would recommend. There’s a sports bar with music & pool tables but you can sit in the lounge area if you don’t fancy the noise of the bar.
