We stayed here for one night on a dinner bed and breakfast deal. We were really impressed with the hotel and the friendly and helpful staff. The room was lovely, warm and comfortable. It was my partner’s birthday and a chocolate treat was left in the room for him. The food and service were excellent. The hotel is in a lovely location and we would certainly stay there again.
We were booked in over Christmas 2020, for a short stay, to get married, and enjoy Christmas. The staff were first class and catered to our every need. From the Concierge service to the bar staff, nothing was too much trouble for them, and they really couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation was excellent, the food was amazing, and we couldn't have wished for a better stay. We will have no hesitation in staying here again, in the future.
Generally lovely hotel, gorgeous rooms and friendly staff, however for a 5star hotel expected more. Plastic tumblers, cardboard cups and wooden stirrer only in the bedroom no glasses or porcelain cups although having in room mini bar and coffee maker, not ideal if you wish to drink the £28 bottle of wine! Poor wifi in the room with no phone signal. Breakfast was mediocre, the sausage was overdone, and the organic fruit salad was un-inspiring. However the biggest gripe i had was the the excessive and unfair £15 a night parking charge to park in their own carpark!! This would certainly stop me rebooking again, and i cant see how they can justify this. Such a shame because this is a lovely property and a short walk into the centre of Inverness.
Absolutely gorgeous in all aspects, room, views, gardens, location and dining experience amazing. Staff so friendly and knowledgeable a fantastic break considering 2020 uncertain times. Cleanliness exceptional. Will we come back Absolutely 💯 percent loved it.
Checked into the Ness Walk for a one nights stay. Upon arrival, check in very smooth, attentive and informative. I was blown away when I was showed to our room which had been sealed with tape to state the room had been cleaned... on entry the room seemed very clean until we opened our toilet door to find it had been used and not flushed by previous guests obviously. I can’t imagine how this was overlooked given the procedure to put a sticker on the door to say it was “clean”. When we complained at reception they were quite quick to give us a clean room and apologised for the mistake... I think embarrassment must have been upon them, but no form of comp was given, not even one drink on the house while we waited in the reception for them to find a spare room. Given that we are in different times, cleanliness is top priority, but lacks very much here. 30 mins after our room fiasco, we ventured to the lounge bar for my fiancée to be served her first drink in a dirty glass... again many apologies were given by the barman and we where then offered a drink on the house, this was charged on checkout (nice try). Not only was it charged but it was taken from our table before it was finished as we had to carry our own drinks from our bar table to our dinner table and after we had finished dinner we then had to then carry our own drinks back to the bar as two staff member watched us from there station ...I went back to get my own belongings from the restaurant and within 1 minute of returning to my bar table, I find it empty. As restaurants owners ourselves and both from 5* hotel careers, this fell short of the 5* service and cleanliness. Snapshot ... dirty room, dirty crockery and standard service. All-in-all, hotel very nice, housekeeping need a good look at Covid safe procedures and service between restaurant and bar needs attention if they want to retain 5*. We were let down and will not return any time soon. 5* Hotels are all about the details, sadly quite a few were missing here, maybe it was the way I was dressed but I didn’t revive any service that could warrant 5*.…
