While some guests consider the River Ness Hotel a good value, others feel the prices don't match the experience offered. The service garners mixed reactions; a number of guests praise the staff's friendliness, but there are also reports of slow and occasionally disorganized service. Room opinions vary, with compliments on comfort and critiques on maintenance.
The hotel's central location is a highlight for its convenience to local attractions. Cleanliness generally earns positive remarks, although there was an isolated complaint. The atmosphere is modern and the amenities, including beds and showers, receive commendation despite some noted limitations.

The hotel is spacious modern and very convenient for walking around the city centre of Inverness and easy reach of the Rail and Bus stations.
The hotel has full Covid measures in place with masks being worn by staff and guests with plenty of hand sanitisers.
There is no parking at the hotel but there is the multi-storey carpark in nearby Rose Street a short walk away form the hotel.
Reasonable at £6 for less than 24 hours in a covered secure carpark.
The hotel receptionist was friendly and efficient by quickly taking our details and allocating us a room on the first floor.
The room was bright, spacious, very clean and in a good quiet location.
There was free wifi a large screen tv and a large bed with crisp white bed linens.
The bed was new and very comfortable and the room temperature could be regulated easily.
There were great tea and coffee making facilities with a variety of teas coffees and shortbread in the room and an ironing board plus an iron and hairdryer in the room.
There was a safe for any valuables.
The bathroom was fabulous with a large walk in shower that had great powerful jets of hot water and immaculately clean.
The toiletries available were good quality and we were provided with plenty white fluffy bath towels.
The breakfast was excellent consisting freshly prepared scrambled eggs, good quality bacon, sausages, hash browns, field mushrooms, grilled tomato and beans,
For the vegetarians and vegans there was a selection of freshly sliced pineapple, watermelon, melon, cereals with non dairy milk and fruit juices.
For others there was a good selection of sliced cold cured meats, cheeses and yoghurts plus toast, honey and marmalade.
Fresh hot drinks were available too.
The waiter was very attentive serving the diners quickly and cheerfully as nothing was too much bother for him and it was certainly service with a smile from Adrian.
In the evening my partner had a malt whisky at the bar for less than a fiver which was reasonable in such plush modern surroundings.

Me and my friends rocked up to this establishment after an absolute disastrous night of camping. The angels at this hotel took us in like orphaned cubs, and let us sit in the lobby area for a number of hours whilst we awaited the completion of our rooms cleansing and preparation period. Right on time, our room was ready, and we were nothing but smiles when we entered our clean and distinguished room. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was clean, and the shower felt like a thousand rains. I would come back in a heartbeat, thank you River Ness team!

Booked a couple of nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived an hour early and checked if our room was ready. It was, so returned to the car for our luggage. I parked at Portland Place which is a much more straightforward walk than the multi storey. It’s also only £4 for 24 hours so for two nights it was almost half the price. You can also pay by app so no need to return to the car.
So, check in was very smooth had prepaid do also very quick. We were in room 311 so top floor which was good, the hotel is new just over a year old so is very nicely decorated and still has a new feel about it. The room was pretty much as expected, bed was very comfy, great pillows and bedding too. One confusing thing on arrival was lack of power, thought there may have been a slot for the key but couldn’t find any. I eventually found a housekeeper in a nearby corridor who explained that the first light switch controls the rest of the power in the room. Perhaps this should be highlighted in the welcome letter as there are no guides in the room.
The shower was very good with plenty of hot water and quality toiletries. Only complaint with the bathroom was the sensor for the fan, not controlled by the light so went on if you got up during the night despite not turning the light on.
Breakfast was really good, we were asked what time we wished to go which helps them to control the numbers. It was fairly quiet on the first morning, busier on the second but we enjoyed it both days. No shortages and a very tasty breakfast.
Breakfast staff were very friendly and chatty if you wanted to chat but unobtrusive otherwise. In fact all the staff we came into contact with very very pleasant and helpful.
One more minor criticism, we tended to use the stairs a lot and noticed that the stairwell does not seem to be part of the cleaning routine. There was quite a bit of grime from outdoors. With covid still on the go, the handrails should also be wiped often.
I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Inverness.

Stayed here at new year for 2 nights and was very underwhelmed. Some bathroom fixtures & fittings in our room were not attached and were lying in the bath, so we had to be switched rooms. The customer lift was not working so we had to use the service lift throughout our stay. On the first day I noticed the glass in the main door leading from rooms to foyer was dirty and smudged with fingerprints. To my horror this glass was not cleaned once in the 3 days we were there, which is not good as it is a main touchpoint and Covid is very much still around. Throughout our stay I noticed other small things that indicated the hotel was not as clean as it may seem at first glance, I ended up feeling a bit creeped out. Cups and glasses that a customer had left in the corridor were not picked up by staff for 2 days.
Our breakfast slot that the hotel make you book the night before was not ready, we were then ignored for least 5 mins before a stressed looking waitress advised all tables were full and we would have to wait 15/20 mins to be seated. When we were eventually seated the waitress started laying down napkins & cutlery for us on a table that hadn't even been cleaned. Meanwhile we heard the couple next to us debating whether to send their breakfast back as it didn't seem cooked properly, hence we got up and left.
I complained to Radisson when we got home, and they ignored my complaint for a month. I had to email 3 times before anyone got back to me. They couldn't have been less interested and offered me 10,000 of their reward points as compensation, which wouldn't get you quarter a room on a midweek night. Very poor customer service from Radisson and I will be avoiding them like the plague from now on.

Recently stayed at the River Ness Hotel in Inverness, we had a accessibility room due to my mother and I being disabled. The room was clean and comfortable, no complaints there. The staff were friendly and accommodating. However the wet room was a little dodgy to use, luckily it was large enough to manoeuvre a wheelchair in because I had to wheel my 87 year old mum in everytime she needed to use it. The floor was tiled and not non slip, I had to lay dampish towels on the floor so mum didn't slip, there were no shelves or vanity units to place toiletries, medication etc. The wardrobe was situated right next to the door, so manoeuvring a wheelchair was extremely difficult to get in to the room, the hanging space was extremely high making it a struggle to use for height challenged guests and wheelchair users. The beds were comfortable but again so high, I had to ask our carer to lift the very sturdy large flat safe out of the wardrobe for mum and I to step on to get into our beds, luckily we managed to obtain the room next door for our carers to use. Our rooms weren't serviced but we realised we had to ask for them to be done, luckily housekeeping were there all day and they came as soon as we reported it.
Breakfast was well stocked, some days it was a little less warm, the hot drinks were served in pump flasks and quite often tepid or cold depending on the time you went down to dine. We had to ask for toast and a few other items of hot food to be prepared separately, I felt they could have invested in a toaster and a hot water machine so guests could make there own HOT toast and drinks. A shame there was no restaurant facility in the evenings, after a very long journey from the South East of England and arriving saturated at 8.30 in the evening after rail delays, it would have been lovely to get a decent meal. Our stay was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful, however improvements could be made.

This single night's stay was booked to enable us to catch an early train from Invesrness to London at the end of a fortnight's holiday in the Highlands.
Unfortunately, all we were able to experiance was the room itself, as the restaurant was closed in the evening and we were due to leave too early to stay for breakfast.
The staff were friendly (and did offer to pack a breakfast to take with us, but the breakfasts are pricey and I couldn't justify spending the best part of £30 on 'breakfast to go').
The room was clean and well appointed, as you'd expect from a Radisson hotel, but I didn't feel that it represented value for money at over £200 for the night. It also felt quite oppressive, being relatively small and decorated in dark colours throughout.
The hotel is, however, well located and just a few minutes walk from the city centre and the river.

Goto hotel in Inverness, being a local and preferring to stay in hotel rather than using taxis back and forth to my home after a night out we decided to try the river Ness Hotel for a change. To say we are delighted is an understatement, the hotel is new, modern, reasonably priced and the beds are sooooooooo comfortable. Cannot hesitate to recommend this hotel to anybody. Only downside is the price of the breakfast, at 16.99 per person it is extortionate considering you only have to walk out the door and get a full English breakfast and toast and drink for two for £10, apart from that little gripe the place is great you will not be disspoanted

The hotel is fairly new so it feels really crisp and clean. Service at reception was really good and our room was immaculate. The decor is nice and simple in the room and the bathroom has space for your toiletries, which is so often not the case in hotels. We found the room a tiny bit hot, even with aircon but maybe we just like the cold!! Great to have a good sturdy iron and powerful hairdryer in the room. The bed was really comfy and we slept well. Lovely to see Scottish shortbread on the tea tray in cool packaging. I'd have loved to see toiletries from a more local company like the Highland Soap Company, Siabann or Selkie Soaps but I understand Radisson probably have one supplier for things like that.
I would definitely stay again, but would miss a full length mirror if I were there for a weekend with the girls!

Our second stay here and we will be back! our room was a great size, stylish and very clean and the bed was so comfortable. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, right in the city centre and walking distance to shops and some great bars and restaurants. There is no parking at the hotel but there is a multi-storey a 5 min walk away beside the bus station, where it costs £7 for 24hrs.

Stayed here for 1 night. Lovely hotel, very friendly and helpful members of staff. Very well situated for bars and restaurants. Breakfast was very organised and the quality of the breakfast ingredients were exceptional. Highly recommend a stay here. The only negative was the green safety light in the room is to bright when the lights are off and disturbed our sleep.

There is no hotel carpark belonging to the hotel.
But a short walk away is the safe covered carpark run by NCP at Rose Street
Dear "HW B"
Thank you for enquiring about the parking. Unfortunately, we do not have an onsite parking as we are in the city centre. However, the nearest parking is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel, which is the Rose Street Multi-storey parking and charged at £7.00 for 24 hours. The post code is IV1 1NQ
Looking forward to welcoming you to the brand new Radisson River Ness Hotel
Kind regards
