Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Pine Guest House in Inverness is a WONDERFUL place to stay. Angie, the owner, is a gregarious and welcoming host. Her positive energy makes a stay in Inverness that much more appealing. Lastly, Inverness is a very cool little town that was a joy to experience!

Amazing services, the room super clean, bright bathroom with everything working as supposed, delicious hot breakfast (there is also a vegan/vegetarian option). Very friendly host always ready to help. Just few minutes walk to beautiful Inverness downtown. One of the best accommodation experience ever. Highly recommended

The house itself and the rooms are amazing, it’s shame that the pics cannot capture the real beauty of the house. Most of all, the owner and the staff(?) I met from the pine guest is super nice and kind! If I have another chance to go to Inverness, I would like to stay here again

We were booked into this guest house for 2 nights during a Rabbies tour. What a great stay. The owner, Angela, gave us a very warm welcome, a thorough introduction to local amenities, and a wonderful breakfast. The house is pretty, comfortably furnished, and very clean. Importantly, it is no more than a 10 minute walk to pretty much anywhere you want to visit in Inverness. Definitely recommend!

We have just returned home from a motorcycle tour ( 4 of us) of the highlands of Scotland. We stayed at the Pines Guest House for 4 out of our 7 nights nights and couldn't have found a better place to stay in Inverness. ( it was definitely the best of the 4 we stayed at on our tour). This is a family run guest house which is clean, COVID aware and the host is very welcoming and friendly. Angela couldn't do enough for us and even sourced us some haggis ( which was not on the menu) when I said I liked it. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious and they also offer a continental style of cereals, plentiful fruit and yoghurt with a warm croissant. The bedroom was cosy and inviting with a Scottish tartan decor. It's just a 10 minute walk into Inverness if you fancy a drink and something to eat and we can definitely recommend the Waterfront pub for an evening meal, however, booking is advised. There is a covered shelter at the back of the property for motor bikes which is great when the weather is a bit inclement. and allows that little bit of additional security and peace of mind. Angela, keep up the good work, we will definitely be back!

Recently spent three nights at Pine Guest House, on arrival Angela greeted us with a smile behind her face covering, we were then shown to our room and orders taken for breakfast, due to the Covid virus we were only allowed to touch the items on our breakfast table, cereal, coffee, sauce, yoghurt etc were all served by Angela herself, there were other guests there but times were staggered to ensure social distancing, breakfast was plentiful, our room was serviced daily and kept to a high standard, Angela is a lovely host and nothing is too much for her, lovely house, lovely furnishings and a lot of history about the house and the boundaries that it sits in, can highly recommend Pine Guest House, we felt really safe staying there and will definitely be back.

We stayed here two nights while doing the North Coast 500, can't recommend this guest house highly enough from the moment we arrived to the moment we left felt right at home, if ever we visit Inverness again we will surely stay here. The owner Angela is super friendly and made us feel like we were family. Our room was large and although we had booked a double room the room actually contained a double and a single bed. Breakfast was both delicious and plentiful, with the options of cooked Scottish breakfast or an amazing continental option.

I can only review the accommodations as we were there for less than 15 min because my daughter had an asthma attack due to the cigarette smoke smell throughout the home. Also, I feel it is important to know that it is quite a walk to the city center( restaurants, venues, etc.)

Thank you for your review however I totally refute your claim that the house smelt of smoke as the guest house is totally non smoking and we have signs in all rooms clearly stating we are a non smoking property, we do however provide an ashtray outside of the house for those who do wish to smoke, which I assume you observed and are basing your review on. You also commented on the distance from the guest house to the city centre, I don't believe you even walked it, however I can assure you that it is a 10 minute walk to the city centre. You also left the premises unannounced and without paying your bill, the first time in 16 years of trading we have ever experienced this.

My girlfriend and I stayed here on September 25th when we were on the Rabbies tour of the Highlands. From the first approach, Angela (the innkeeper) was extremely warm and friendly. She was so pleasant to us. The room and accommodations itself were very immaculate. My girlfriend and I had a pleasant nights sleep, and had an excellent breakfast to boot! (Cooked by Angela) We had never stayed at a B&B before, and honestly thought it would be stuffy and museum-esque. We were wrong. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back.

We stayed here during a Rabbie's tour of the Scottish Highlands (reviewed separately). The guest house was a nice place to stay on our one night in Inverness. The owner, Angela, was very nice and helpful. Our triple room was clean and well-equipped with our own bathroom. The included full-Scottish breakfast in the morning was great too. Very enjoyable. The guest house is located within walking distance of the main downtown area where you can find many food options for supper. Be advised to reserve ahead as they can book up quickly. Overall, the guest house is a place and I would recommend it to anyone needing a stay in Inverness.
