Beach Cottage is an idyllic bed and breakfast located on the shores of the Moray Firth only 6 miles from Inverness City Centre. The B&B has a quiet, semi rural location and offers accommodation with stunning sea views. The 200 plus year old cottage has been extended and refurbished to a high standard with two en suite rooms, the Moray and the Beauly. Moray is in the new part of the cottage and has french doors with a Juliet balcony and offers panoramic views of the Moray Firth from Inverness to the South West around to Fort George and Chanonry Point to the North East. Beauly is in the old part of the cottage and offers similar views but they can be seen from the comfort of seats in the bay window. Please note that Beauly has old wood beams and the shower in the en suite has a low ceiling not really suitable for anyone taller than 1.8M. Dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea otters can frequently be spotted from the cottage as well as a huge variety of different species of birds. An idyllic and peaceful location with beautiful scenery. Due to the semi rural location it is necessary to have a vehicle.

Beautiful view over the lagoon, immaculate spacious room, very luxurious breakfast with fresh fruit and a gracious hostess. From our room we saw a seal swimming quietly along the coastline, only a few tens of meters from the building. Congrats Janey !!

Yes I think there was. I'm sure the lovely owner would provide you with one anyway. Have a great visit.

Beach Cottage B&B, like just about everywhere else in the Highlands, does not have air conditioning. It is not necessary in the Highlands of Scotland as temperatures or humidity rarely rise high enough.

You can get a taxi but it is quite expensive and the closest public transport is a bus stop 2.5 miles from here. If you are planning to visit the Highlands and not have a vehicle I would suggest staying in the city/towns and not in the more rural locations.

Hi Bill. Thanks for writing the review and a great one it is too. Sometimes reviews do take a while to get published especially this time of year as so many more are written during the busy summer months. There doesn't seem to be anything in the review that would ring any alarm bells. Did you submit the review back in Canada or did you do it while still travelling in Scotland? When a review is submitted I believe they record the IP address so they know where it has been submitted from. I have had people say previously that they've written reviews but they've not been published. If it stays pending maybe drop them an email.
